I hope to see more asthetically pleasing curves for NWM, they work so beautifully for grids but other then that curves with them are ugly and its a shame except of course for the great work with a few of the narrower NWM. It would also be great if some of the wider realistic highways also got sweeping curves as I feel this to be the only hurdle I encounter anymore playing simcity with looks anyway. Also though, I know you guys have ditched the maxis highways understandabley but most people still use them a lot especially in dense cities and since there is a smooth curve for ground highways I was wondering how much harder it would be to create a smooth elevated maxis highway curve. That would be beyond awesome! Anyways great work so far, the last update had some fantastic curves!

I would like to have higher elevated rail puzzle pieces that can go over diagonal networks. And more than this I would need higher elevated highway puzzle pieces that work the same way like the El-rail pieces shown above.

additional colors for the maxis freeway. i saw an asphalt black from mrthn's mod which would look excellent, but the transitions have not been colored and remain pasty chalk grey.

additionally, maybe a 45 degree angle road over the maxis freeway?

also im not sure if this is the place for this or not, but how about improved intersections for the SAM? they seem to work fine with any network that its higher in capacity, but they do not work when meeting other SAM streets.

(P.S. can the Y interchange be coded to show up completely in transport region view?)

The reason there's been no High Elevated Light Rail/Monorail stuff as of late is because there are some preliminary plans to go to a draggable system for those networks as opposed to continuing with the puzzle pieces.

High Elevated Highway's been messed around with a little, but hasn't gotten beyond prototype from what I know.

I'd agree there as well.  The question is which component it would be incorporated into . . . it's kind of in the SAM jurisdiction, but it's also very much an NWM sort of thing as well.  I had toyed with going the Street route on the OWR-1 originally, in fact.

Roads, Aves, hwy, rail etc. under bridge if possible. Maybe an overhanging transit-enabled lot?

Going the puzzle piece route doesn't really work there--I spent a bunch of time experimenting with it to no avail.  An overhanging transit-enabled lot would suffer from the same issue for the most part.

Maxis Highway stuff is a relatively low priority right now.  The SAM thing is unfortunately a limit because of how the override technology works.  It is, in theory, possible to fix that, but it would require a fair chunk of code and probably hundreds of new textures.

The Region Transport View has some limitations which are .exe-encoded.  If the Y interchange isn't showing up now, there's not likely a way to fix it other than the DrawPaths-and-Save trick.

I Have created these totally awesome Industrial Parks with all my crazy HK Industry located there, I made these really nice highway connection that go underground and connect to the region connections so that freight can come and go to other regions.. Here is my problem.. the moment I connect regular roads to these industrial parks so that the sims can go to work, the freight stops using the highways and immediately begins to use the roads clogging up my city with traffic.

Is there a way to create a draggable road that does not except freight??

I love coffee and buildings.

There is a mod on the STEX, a "lot" that you plop on a road and it blocks bus traffic (in order to create more realistic bus routes). So I guess something similar could be done for freight trucks.

A simple request: Smaller MIS-turn puzzle pieces.

Because: The current ones are quite big, and in Europe, the turning lanes are smaller than they are. In fact, 2x2 90 degree turns wouldn't be unrealistic.

Thank you for all the work you've done so far!

2x2 90 degree turns already exists for the MIS. It's not a puzzle piece, though, but draggable. If you drag a 90 degree corner with MIS it will automaticly show up.

Planned and partially complete, though I'm not sure when they'll be released, as there's still some logistical issues with how best to sort all the pieces for the end user . . .

I have a small request. On the AVE-2, there are no medians! I find it very bland without medians. Is this in the works for some v1.2 of the mod or something?

There's been talk of having a separate T21 addon for median trees--it probably won't be going into the mod itself, however.

I have a rather large request. Would it be possible to make modifications/ add on pieces to the Maxis highways? or make an Urban Highway Mod?

There already exsists puzzle pieces for the Maxis highway system, custom interchanges for example.

How about something like this? (bearing in mind this is LHD):

fedffeer.jpg

I don't know what it's called (a lane splitter?).  It's used instead of a junction.  Maybe it could be developed into a ploppable junction?

That's cool. But doesn't that seem a little inefficient? You can only get to one street. But with the graphics of Sim City, I think that that would look really cool. Would that be 2x2, 2x3, or 3x3 tiles? Good idea!

The picture I posted is in my local town.  The main street is very narrow, so it has been made one-way.  From the bottom of the pic is the main street, the right is a return loop to the main street and other towns.  the left leads on to a housing estate.

I was thinking 1X1 to place directly on top of a junction, but it would probably be 2X3.
