Ya, Little Progress?  The Eight lane freeway is going to be a part of the RHW once a newer "alpha version is released.

Heres a pic of what the 8 lane freeways will probially  look like

Oh, another [probaly unrealistic] request:

Yes, but another one should also be made with full movements...otherwise I would have to resort to "brezzwoods"

Not possible to have above the busstop I'm afraid.

GLR puzzle peices (hillside, over road etc.) would be great to have though, and I think they will be in the next NAM.

Although, with all these reqests coming in the NAM will never be ready.

I think the developers should do what many Open-Source Community project do:

Stop taking requests, all requests beyond that point will be postponed to the next version, so you can work instead of just taking too many requests.

What do you mean, not possible? It has been done, with the el-over-road stations (one of them was just an el station, the other was an el+bus station). However, it has to be a LOT, and as such, cannot be in the NAM.

I'm not sure if this has been requested before, or even if these already exist, but it'd be handy to have a raised avenue to elevated highway puzzle piece, and an avenue to elevated highway onslope puzzle piece.

Just my $0.02.

FishBob,

The NAM already has a raised avenue to elevated highway puzzle piece. It is under the Avenue Puzzle Pieces button.

this is an already posted request, i move it to this thread..

i just downloaded goaskin's s-bahn elevated train NAM station and i think it's cool..so i have some pictures of el-rail stations, maybe someone can modify it to be an elevated train station?coz i'm now building a valley-type city and an elevated train station would fit perfectly with all the NAM on slope,bridges..

i'm really sorry if i put this request in a wrong place, but BAT request are already crowded and i think i'd just adding water in the ocean there..besides,i think this request is very related to NAM,so i put it here..

thanks for the attention and replies..

here are two examples of el-rail station from japanese pages..

They should have set a deadline for the release of NAM. Otherwise it is likely that it will be delayed repeatedly.

You know, the NAM team isn't doing this for money, but in their free time, which is quite rare if you have a job or attend college/university. The next NAM version will be released when the work on the new items is done, and there won't be a deadline, nor a release date that is announced earlier. If we would do it, everyone would shout if we'd have to extend the deadline, and this is even worse than the current situation.

ST crashed and ate my post...

I'll type it again.

Wise words.

Brings to mind what Orson Welles [ linkie ] said:

Same goes, IMHO, for the NAM, as hard as it is to wait.

...and when it is Done it will be Good!

Thanks, Andreas, and all the other folks who are working selflessly on this ongoing great and challenging project.

Can someone make some puzzle peices, where a road splits into 2 1 lane roads, that you can make go 2 different directions?

They should also make, a highway, were there is one half of the highway on top, then the other half on the bottom

Two posts edited together. Mr. C.

where a road splits in 2 1 lane roads?  You mean like a road?  Im sorry but I do not understand.

Half ground, half elevated (double decker) highways have been designed and tested, but have failed to apply to simcity's game scamatics.  It is not possible, sorry.  However, it can be used for eyecandy with a parial functional road...  that was attempted but has been abandoned some time ago.

I think he means a road that divides into a pair of one ways.

The way I read it, you take a road (or one-way road) and split each lane off into different direction, staying one lane...

expanding on that idea some: maybe one lane road puzzle pieces (one way, of course)... and designed for ground AND elevated travel with various end pieces creating T-intersections, or taking 2 lane one-ways and condensing them into 1 land one-ways

the trickiest part would be creating 2 that function in the same grid... and then split... (which, me thinks, is what is being said in the quote)

like in that, what was it? roundabout thread? or some thread like that...

probably less feasable than stacked highways (but I'm not sure)

what probably IS feasable is an on/off ramp or something that breaks from an elevated highway and loops around to cross back under the highway (about just before the ramp begins) to form a conection with roads on the other side of the highway... hey... that's an idea...

I hope the things I suggested will be in the next nam single track rail puzzle pieces including a double rail to sngle rail transfer, triple track rail puzzle pieces and a transfer, switch rail junction, and a four track rail puzzle pieces (on a 1x1 tile) with a junction.

"I think elevated diagonal tracks are a must, and railway crosspoints."

Same here pulse a curve (to follow the roads...if a curve is possible)!

"Still a question for me why they didn't put that in the nam.."

That's exactly what I want to know. But then again, they have alot on there minds and sometimes when you think to hard, you miss the simple things.

--- I had posted this in City-Building Concepts -  NAM elevated Rails as an agreement but I figured it's also a request, which I've been dying to ask, so here it is.
