Yay! Christmas is nearing us, and I know all of you want SOMETHING under the STCT (SimTropolisChristmasTree)! New features, BATs, you name it!!!

So here's how it works: You give me a max of 3 items(per person) you want on Simtrop for the 24th! I will then put them on the list. Then I give the list to dirk, who dresses as Santa Clause on the eve and puts all the new features, upgrades, and requested STEX items under the STCT over the night! Then in the morning he will announce what we have gotten! Ready???

lol, rich text in FF! That must be an upcoming feature, and I'm not sure how they didn't include it in the first place.

for me:

1. Mods category on the STEX
2. Some kind of groups feature on the STEX. If the upload belongs to a certain group (BCS, NDEX, etc.) a little symbol could show up and information about that group would be available as if it were a member, like download count, a list of uploads, maybe an average # of downloads and the uploads average rating. That way one username doesn't have to upload everything for a team, and there doesn't have to be little tags infront of the titles for the group to show up in a search. This also includes some kind of a co-credit system for when uploads have more than one person working on them, yet it isn't a group. You can call this STEX groups feature or something for the sake of the list
3. For the STEX search to also search the description, not just the title.

Oh yeah! Rich text in FF would be so cool! I hope some day Ideal BB will support it, I'm sure it'll come sooner or later.

I would also like to see Rich Text in Firefox. When I post, I have to use Internet Explorer. Just browsing on Simtropolis is easy with Firefox. But since I am too lazy right now to double click IE, go to my favorites and click Simtropolis, I'll just post this post in Mozilla Firefox.

Vidioman- How'd you do that?!?!? Hmm... maybe I'm missing something.  Because I've heard that Rich Text is not supported by Mozilla Firefox. Maybe you just highly photoshoped that pic.

i'll tell you how I did it

Go to mozilla, get the IE Tab extension. A little button appears up top (I was going to blur it out but didnt, its the one to the right of the print button) it allows your tab to switch between FF or IE, you can acutally use IE inside Firefox. It uses IE cookies, and everything. there is also a button in the bottom right corner, you canactually use IE in all tabs, and just use the firefox skin

you need the 1.5 beta to use it, but it's pretty handy, expecially for posting rich text posts at ST! (though i'm quite content using HTML)

I just saw that screenshot of FF, and I saw that some icons where on the top toolbar! I didn't know you could put them there! So I just moved everything onto that bar! Sooooo much space!

Now I'm going to try and get rid of that bar at the bottom where it says done or whatever is going on. It would be nice if I could get that at the top bar too.

Firefox is very flexable. I am not sure what you want, but you can probably do it by right clicking the toolbar and clicking customize.

Also, it isn't firefox's fault it doesn't have rich text - it would have been included a long time ago if it was an option. The fault lies with Ideal BB, whos BBS system only supports rich text for FF. Maybe one day they will include FF though.

Well, since it is highly unlikely Dirk will ship me an Alienware Aurora ALX, I suppose I will have to go with...

Rich Text doesnt work in FF, because Rich Text uses the program that only Ie has, that Microsoft made specifically so browsers like FF couldnt use them. but, we will prevail, eventually!

To get rid of the status bar, go to view and uncheck statusbar I prefer having it because I have a few buttons down there

We already know it's 4 countries (England, Whales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. See? I know them all! I get a cookie!!) it's just easier to say England or UK. In our culture, simplicity is first and foremost.
