    @jacqulina

    Thanks3.gif Somehow, night shots make things look rather futuristic

    @Sirris

    Benefit? Of course, "eyecandies"

    @zelgadis

    Now you have it. Let's see how you use it3.gif

    @sEAhAwk fAn121

    Thanks!!! But..... I doubt Meadowlark Falls gets one of them17.gif

    @SWAT-MEDIC

    Please check the bit just below the picture. Download link given.

    @Leech10 & scififan68

    Thanks!

    @football_fever

    I am thinking of connectable modular Coruscant ground building BAT.

    @crushedcar

    If I get this to work, you will be able to build a Coruscant-style city in Atlantica!!

    These are some strange looking craft you're making lately. I like them. It's like you read my mind that I needed baddy-looking spacecraft.

    Will we get a new Cosmocarrier coming soon?

    I don't have any cosmocarriers planned at the moment

    You could work out the storyline that the villains in your story somehow stole the blueprint from Zanapolis throught the fog-of-war.

    Information security is not at its best in Zanapolis now3.gif

    My villains tend to smash and grab anything they can steal, which is going to help explain the hodgepodge of different craft they use to attack

    thats some awesome new content... am i repeating myself?

    hm... anyway, the tower looks like... wow, cant wait to dl it ;-)

    the ships... well... to be honest, not what I like, but I see the work and especially the creativity in them, so they're nevertheless cool creations.

    can't wait for more here

    page flip bug.....26.gif

    @Leech10
    It's kinda surprising that nobody asked that question until now...17.gif
    And thanks for clearing the bug again. Now I can reply to belfastuniguy
    I couldn't think of any scientific rationale for shields, so Zanapolis battle starships are without shields!
    @football_fever
    so, that bit of your storyline worked out? Looking forward to see some stolen Zanapolis battle starships in your CJ!3.gif
    @GMT
    I just wanted to try something totally alien.1.gif
    I think, lots of people wanted to build Coruscant on SC4 - now I do it!!!!!
    @belfastuniguy
    Thanks!! I can understand... some of my BATs are way too off-world17.gif

    Ward of Procyon Estuary, AE1454 Day 322 Time900
    - Quantum Cascade Laser Tower, radio transmission room -

    (all heard through videophone)

    The first two of our promising next generation cosmocruisers.........it is so ironic that even our best technologies can't make us safe........ as long as we fight ourselves!

    Petroleum Age, Digital Age and Modern Age, whatever thing we've invented, things never got better!

    An age-old Laozi legend of Chinese say, "Ones with machines have affairs, and ones with affairs have worryings"

    ...............

    htz3rt4.jpg

    hm? Who are they? No-one other than us should be here and their appearance is so unfamiliar. Are they from here or perhaps Zanonean Kingdom?

    ..................

    ....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    htz2lb7.jpg

    Intruders!!! We are taking fire!!!

    flash - flash - flash ---------------BANG

    What!!?? Our lasers are not doing any good!!! Who are they!!??
    Don't doodle around - grab a microphone!!

    "THIS IS ZANAPOLIS COSMOFORCE GROUND SECURITY FORCE, DECLARE YOUR IDENTITY!!"

    Flash!

    f"#$%! They are not stopping!

    "THIS IS ZANAPOLIS COSMOFORCE GROUND SECURITY FORCE, DECLARE YOUR IDENTITY!!"

    BANG!!!

    "THIS IS ZANAPOLIS COSMOFORCE GROUND SECURITY FORCE, DECLARE YOUR IDENTITY!!"

    Hold!  They are answering!!!

    ----------------------"WE ARE NOT FROM THIS PLANET!!"

    Wow... aliens....

    Ain't the time for your lame jokes bastard!

    M'aidez! m'aidez! m'aidez!  We are outnumbered!!!!!!

    BANG! bzzzzzz.........

    sunajt5.gif

    Emergency! Repeating, declaring emergency, one of our Cosmocruisers were hijacked by unknown hostile party. Immediate actions necessary - Action procedure A

    Action procedure A!!?? Immediate destruction!!??

    We can't let our newest cosmocruiser to fall into enemy hands!

    Who is that "enemy"? Zanonean Kingdom? Yalnans? Some rebellious faction?

    Visitors from the stars.

    eh...... in that case, why do they have any affairs with us?

    Not your question. Main quantum cascade amplifier, to maximum output!

    3.....2.....1......

    FIRE!!!!!

    htz1bi1.jpg

    TARGET HIT!!!

    Target southbound, descending!

    But it is kinda strange... they are not firing at us. If they want to run away with the ship, surely the must do something.

    htz4ef2.jpg

    CRACK CRACK CRACK...... THUMP!

    htz5ka3.jpg

    Touchdown, touchdown, Ward of Sekitan Bukuro!
    Special Assault Team (SAT) on the way!

    .......bzzzz....ggggg....gzzgzgz.......This is SAT, nobody is in the ship! The ship is completely empty!!!! The intruders have vanished!!

    Wow, I must say, I have been amazed by many of your creations, but these last two ships and that building have stepped things up one significant notch. You're artistic sense for these last products is excellent. Where do you get your inspiration for these things?

    @Leech10

    So, the hull is covered with borosilicate foam tiles to make it ready for re-entry and block some of lasers. But the next generation combat starships would probably have a liquid mirror layer on top.

    @football_fever

    Thanks! You probably know who those intruders were...

    @crushedcar

    So, if you find those Zanapolis ships in football_fever's CJ, there is the story behind...17.gif

    @His Divine Hand

    When I design, I concentrate all my ideas to "how to make it cool". I always draw on paper first1.gif. Of course, I can't get the one I want with one shot, so I do some modifications, and as I do so, sooner or later I encounter this moment - "eureka! This is what I want!!!" and here you go, a blueprint on paper. Then, all I have to do is to BAT according to it.  You could copy my style!

    The Carbon Cycle in Zanapolis

    The per-capita annual carbon dioxide emission of Zanapolis is negative 1.7 metric tons, implying that the city has to import carbon by some means. Exhaustion of petroleum reserves and complete transformation into hydrogen economy during the Digital Age had profound effect in the carbon cycle of Zanapolis.

    ccycletc6.jpg

    Artificial photosynthesis

    Artificial photosynthesis and production of synthetic starch is one of the main operations of RubiscoNanomech Ltd. The company formerly used genetically engineered strain of bacteria and algae, but they were gradually replaced by chloroplast-mimic synthetic system. Carbohydrates produced in this way is processed to produce artificial flour, which makes up 30% of all carbohydrates consumed in the city.

    ccycle2ue2.jpg

    The breakthrough that made RubiscoNanomech to adopt chloroplast mimic is the invention of Photosystem III using P570 reaction center. Chloroplasts of natural origin contain P700 and P680 reaction centers, utilizing only red and blue light, but the invention of P570-based Photosystem III succeeded in harnessing the energy of green light. With this improved method, the photoreceptive part of an artificial photosynthesis apparatus nowadays look black than green, as lights of all frequencies are utilized. Because of its high carbon demand, a high CO2 content input such as the exhausts from natural gas power plant is frequently used.

    p570zt2.jpg

    (The Absorption spectrum of P570 - It's absorption band is complementary to that of naturally occuring Chlorophyll a and Chlorophyll b)

    The maximum absorption occurs at the wavelength of 570nm (green-yellow). The combination of all three photosystems absorb virtually all components of visible light and the plant appear black.

    Integrated highrise farming

    Traditionally and even today, agriculture takes place where consumption do not take place. (Such places are called countrysides). This always has been a noxious adition to the carbon footprint for food production. Integrated highrise farming developed by Integriculture Inc. removed the land value constraints of agriculture and made farming possible in city centers. To run an integrated highrise farm, a constant supply of water, fertilizers and CO2 are needed, and they mostly come from sewege treatment plant and biological garbage processing facilities built below the city. Cellulose and starch-containing biological wastes are often converted into biofuels (mainly ethanol) on-site to enter the petrochemical process.

    byakko9un1.jpg

    (Integrated Highrise Farms, Ward of Byakkopolis)

    Biological garbage processing

    Most of the carbon-based synthetic fibers produced in Zanapolis are designed to be bio-degradable. For non-biodegradable organic polymers such as polystyrene and polyethene, bacteria is genetically engineered to decompose such polymers. The city government encourages trash pre-sort to citizens, and those who do pre-sort are paid and who don’t are charged upon garbage collection. Refuses are broadly sorted into 4 categories: carbon-based, silicon based (ceramics, glass, rocks etc), metal based and composites. Among these 4, carbon-based garbage goes to biological garbage processing, turning into hydrocarbons (mainly methane gas) and residues by the work bacteria in a large underground processing chamber. The hydrocarbons are sold to petrochemical industries and the residue is often converted into fertilizers. Corporate laboratories of biological garbage processing industry mainly focus on the development of superior bacteria, to produce purer methane gas and more nutrient-rich residues in shorter time.

    Nuclear and fossil fuel power joint management for CO2 production

    The demand for CO2 is high in Zanapolis, but it makes up only 400ppm of Planet Arista 4’s atmosphere. Since extraction of CO2 from atmosphere is rather uneconomical, burning of hydrocarbons are often used as an alternate source of CO2. This part of the carbon cycle resembles to industry of the Petroleum Age, except the exhaust is collected rather than released into the atmosphere.

    Fossil fuel power plants are often jointly managed with nuclear power plants, so that when CO2 is in need, the output of a fossil fuel power plant is increased while that of nuclear power plant is decreased.

    ccycle1ro3.jpg

    (Methane power plant, Ward of Reka Persei 2)

    Methane and CO2 Carbon fixation and "Carbon Industry"

    Petrochemical industry during the Petroleum Age used crude oil as the main source of carbon, with ethylene and naphtha being the primary product. On the other hand, modern “petrochemical industry” (now called ‘carbon industry’2.gif uses methane and CO2 as the source of carbon, with methanol and acetic acid being the primary products. The process is commonly called “carbon fixation”. Either advanced lanthanide catalysts or genetically engineered bacteria is used to carry out carbon fixation and partial oxidation.

    Petrochemical industry was forced to transform itself at the beginning of the Digital Age, when economically viable crude oil reserves of Planet Arista 4 virtually exhausted. Since then, petroleum has not been used, and the nomenclature changed from “petrochemical industry” to broader “carbon industry”. Yet, some companies revisit petroleum as an economical carbon source today. Some companies already import petroleum from other planets.

    (Liquified Natural Gas imported from other planets, Ward of Iteza-A)

    And to ensure a reliable supply of fossil fuels, Lyra Emsembla does its best!

    lol at the moment I can't really imagine a world in need of CO2 but only wanting to get rid of it.

    Great cj though very futuristic and I sort of do see citys being a few skyscrapers in the middle of nowhere someday
