AE788, Zanonean Kingdom was desperate.  Feudal system that lasted hundreds of years was finally coming to the stalemate, with a hopeless gap between rural riches and urban poors. In feudal society, money does not make one rich, but land. Political tensions, riots and rumors of mass uprisings, the king never had a time of rest. AE801, his concern over country-wide mutiny led him to a decision, mass deportation of have-nots of all small towns and cities into the capital, Zanapolis. He thought, by having nation's all poors concentrated at once place, they can be controlled more easily.

 

AE813, the king's absurd policies of keeping feudal system in place reached the limit. Development of money-economy and commerce was uncounterable even by the king. Now, the urban poors of Zanapolis was discontent for the future being suppressed and robbed.  For most of the urban dwellers who didn't own a land, commerce, was the only opportunity.

One day, when the king went on a journey out of Zanapolis for the regular meetings with rural landlords, it was finally paid off - Revolution!

 

An independence from Zanonean Kingdomlace was declared. The bluish white star banner of revolutionists was displayed onto the mast of Royal Congress Hall in Huixingcheng.  The king was in misery losing the capital city.... but, soon, he realized that perhaps, it was rather a good thing for him and his country, as he was still gaining overwhelming support from rural areas, and the source of headache, the urban poors of Zanapolis are now gone, With local support, he built a humble palace, and declared Zenonian Kingdom is still alive.

 

--600 years of uneasy, but stable peace persisted between Zanonian Kingdom and a city-state of Zanapolis. Since its independence, people started calling it The Starlight City, symbolizing their aspiration toward greater future.  By AE1400, both societies were ubiquitous with nano and space technology..............................

 

AE1436, things started crumbling in Zanonean Kingdom. While wealthy landlords supported the kingdom, not-quite-rich landowners weren't.  AE1437, they copied what citizens of Zanapolis has done 600 years ago - Declaration of Zanonean Republic.  However, they were not as successful as their predecessors.  The result was.... Zanonean Kingdom still being a kingdom, but with raging political mutiny within. Reconciliation was hopeless. Stuck in power struggle, the republicans were looking for a solution in reunification with Zanapolis.

Meanwhile, situations were also uneasy in Zanapolis. The population was already over 20 million, with big rich and poor gap. Having seen the situation in their neighbour, reunite with Zanonean Republic, or remain independent, people had to make a choice. Yet, unfillable gap between rich and poor was tearing the community. Riches went for reunification with Zanonean Republic since it gives them more stability by gaining solid industries in the Republic. Poors - actually not poor anymore, but middle class people, supported independence to keep opportunities open to themselves.

 

AE1443, riches of Zanapolis and small landowners of the Kingdom were supporting reunification under Zanonean Republic, and middle class people of Zanapolis and riches of the kingdom were supporting two independent nations. With all talks or any attempts for reconciliation failing, the situation was a complete deadlock. Skirmishes were daily events in the Kingdom. Rumors of mass uprisings in Zanapolis never faded.  Eventually, worst became the reality, a situation where the first to go for offensive gains the advantage over the other. Invasion by Zanonean Republicans was a matter of time........

Wow, that was very exciting!! I am amazed that simcity could be used to simulate battles but you did it quite well. A great storyline and an exciting battle, fantastic work! I can tell you have put alot of effort into this and so I aplaud you for it. I look forward to seeing what happens in this very different CJ!

Gentlemen, today's mission will be the most crucial battle in this war.  At all cost, we must stop the antimatter ballistic missile at Sagittarius Proxima.  I believe all of you know what antimatter bombs can do.

Anyway, here's the plan

We were/are in the process of laser weapons quite similar to those of ERASER, and presidents bushes star wars programs.

Currently we have an EM pulse weapons. that's it.

This commercial aircraft carrier is also already released. It is 25MB big, and will never make it to STEX (because it's too big).
