Lighting issue on night time

Hi all, this time I'm having a quite bizarre problem with car headlights and lamp post, when I switch to night time everything works nicely, except for some zones, where lights look quite strange, I have Simfox Day'n'Nite Mod installed, the last time i checked it, I didn't see anything unordinary, now I can notice almost all of cars headlights are turned to deep blue, also the illuminated zones of some of the lamp post are blue. The strange thing is that I've chosen the yellow solution from that mod, but it doesn't seem to work at all. What could be wrong? I have only that mod for night lights, so I don't really know what happened. In the meanwhile, I'll try moving that mod out from the plugins folder to see if it changes something.

Here are the shots:

Any idea?

Tnx in advance!

It's quite strange indeed.

Looks like a plugin you have installed (some BAT, or cosmetic mod) has overridden (conflicts) the headlights' texture. It may be somewhat tedious to find, remove half of your plugins, then half of the half, etc etc, until you find the culprit. Of course don't save (exit SC4 - not just to region - without saving) to install/uninstall a batch of plugins. By "remove" I mean move your plugins out of your plugins (it will be easy to bring them back). It would also be a good idea to backup your region (copy the region's folder somewhere else) before attempting this. It takes just less than a minute and can spare you from an accidental save (with half of your plugins removed); save and exit buttons look almost the same and are just next one to another.

Once you find the problem:

- Please let us know the results.

- Bring all your plugins back, got to every city containing an instance of the BAT/Lot that causes the problem, bulldoze them all and save your cities, before uninstalling it.

OP, you are not alone in problem. I also use  Simfox's Day'n'Nite Mod and I also has same problems with overlaying shadows, but for some strange reason only in Full Screen. In Windowed Mode it's ok.

Why? Don't ask me.

Maybe it's how the graphics are rendered on different types of hardware. From your game's graphics options, try running in software mode, or vice versa:

Otherwise, if it's related to the screen resolution, you could experiment by using a custom one.

I have same problem. Switching to Software mode isn't an option, while I am using HD textures. I never imagined that there would be any sort of solution for this, but I am willing to try whatever you guys can come up with.

Try changing your screen resolution as suggested earlier.  Also, if you have any 3D controls set on, change them to 'application selected'.

Hi there, sorry for the long delay, I didn't forget to look for the problem!  ;)

So, I've tried to switch from Hardware to Software rendering and it just crashed to desktop almost instantly, so I guessed it's wouldn't be a good solution for my setup, then, like AcronShinra did, I've modified my game's command line from fullscreen to windowed and... It worked! No more overlapping shadows or deep blue looking lampost lights... Matter of fact, I've noticed so far that the whole game looks way better in window mode, rather than in full screen... Actually I didn't notice that before, but while I was playing in full screen with daylight, all the game textures (both default and custom) were looking good, once I switched to night time more or less all of the textures appeared "degraded", this makes me think about some possible rendering issues within Simfox Day'n'Nite Mod, also because before having that installed no graphics were looking bad or wrong both in day and night time into the game.

Anyway, I can stay windowed as well, so problem solved... tnx for your suggestions! :thumb:
