I've made two nominations. I'll reveal my choice when the awards are handed out.

No, not usually.  and just because an ad-hoc award is nominated, that doesn't mean it will be awarded.

Ahh, the Trixies are being counted. I can't imagine how long that would take and how much patience.

Well, good thing we have good admins to count them all up right.

I demand a recount!

I just say that the counters can take all the time they want. I've seen what a hurried, corrupt election is like first hand here in Washington State.

What fun it is to have a someone win the governor position, then have a recount, and have more votes for the loser convieniently be found. Of course, while the original winner can have his position taken away for absurd reasons, the original losers victory can't be discounted because more votes than she won by came from convicts and fake addresses, nwither of which is legal.28.gif

Well... How much was it, 1200? That isnt really too much. A few admin could cover it in an after noon. Although, you have to consider the reasons, and maybe who voted for who.

I'm pleased to say that I did not vote for myself!!

This is my first Trixie Event. After this ceremony, I will consider myself veteran status. Six month membership, a Trixies and an avid participant, should constitute enough status, IMO.

Isn't that comment a little premature and presumptious? Especially when you know that dropping hints pertaining to awards isn't favourably viewed upon by the staff...Unless of course you meant something else with that comment.

Well, I took it to mean he has been through the trixie award process.  Not that that process is finished yet, but he has put his nominations in.

quote>

Ahhh..I see. Sorry about that, my bad. 3.gif

there were several custom awards given last year - i, in fact, had nominated a moderator for most stomach churning name and it was awarded to that moderator (yes, i will take the blame for that one - for those who know which one i am talking about).
and let us not forget the several Dirk Warm And Fuzzy awards given last year.

TC13: What exactly is the the 'Dirk's fuzzy' award for??

This quote comes from last year's Trixie Award Ceremony:

DIRKS WARM AND FUZZY AWARD <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/images/i_trixie_1_01.gif align=baseline>
The Warm Fuzzy is comprised of reclaimed llama fur. However, despite its origins, this award is given to recognize members who may be overlooked for the small but meaningful things that they do - but the dirktator sees all!

So basically, its an award given out by Dirk to some members of Simtropolis that do hard work, but sometimes the hard work is overseen in the community.

Let's see, eye=round

So it could be:

A bowling ball...no.
An orange...no.
A dot in an i...maybe.

Wait, what's round and on every page on the site?

The moon in the banner! Hmmm...30.gif

Just in case anyone forgot, or wasn't here, last year it took about 2 weeks.   and, this year, we have about twice as many nominations.

Yes we will just have to wait it out. I can't wait. And it's amazing that we had twice as many votes come in than last year. Crazy. Well, I guess it shows that Simtropolis is growing and that more people here deserve votes.

Edit - It's also crazy that we are already on Page 12! LOL. Its like watching one of Jeronij's city journals grow!

Edit 2 - And boggy's wonderful logo just screwed up the page! LOL but thats alright, we'll be off this page in 7 posts.

And twice as many moderators

True, but I don't think that the moderators count, it's just the admins.

Yes exactley alougth it isen't just the moderator numbers that have increased we have also had a few more admins appear now too so bearing that in mind and the fact that last year took two weeks I think this year it will take about three weeks as a estimate, that makes the nomination page estimate of a few days very over confident. It will come when it comes.

Last year, only the admins counted.  However, dirk did say the trixie staff instead of the admins.

Boggy1:  You have no clue how hard I laughed when I saw that.  I was drinking a Dr. Pepper and nearly sprayed it all over the screen.
