YEAH! I'm nominating right now.

EDIT: That's weird. I tried to nominate the same person for two entirely different trixies (one of them was a custom award) and the server told me that I couldn't do that.

You're right, you have to be careful in your nominations.  You can nominate any given person only once, you can't nominate yourself, and staff reserve the right to throw out (and quietly laugh at) the silly nominations.

This is excellent, this community has such a great atmosphere! Expecially when it comes to celebrations like this! I am getting more excited about this than I ever have about any movie or television award!

There are some ad hoc awards that Dirk has in mind that he doesn't even share with staff, which is cool. 

 

But at our level, even though we have final say, we don't come in with favorites in the various categories nor make any presumptions.  You guys & gals are the ones who make the site what it is as productive members and  you know who has the talent and who has the people skills. 

 

You can't vote for yourself; the nomination mechanism is set to prevent that.  (and we have methods for detecting potential cheats).

 

Likewise for nominating a person more than once.

The nomination form checks to see if the nominee is a registered member on the site.  If not, you can't make that nomination.

Now, it just so happens that there is a member named BSC.  (Based on the IP address of the posts, I have a pretty good idea who it is and, yes, it is someone leading the BSC group.)

 

But the way the form is set up, you can only nominate registered members.

 

and, yes, I'd be fine with someone from NDEX or Simmars setting up a user with those names so they can be nominated as well.
