Roller Coaster Tycoon on STEX

Simvision has a Roller Coaster Tycoon (RCT) section on its exchange. Would you like to see something similar on STEX?

IMO, no, it breaks the SIM-thingy rule.

Plus, what would we put on it except ride designs & buildings? I would be interested in actual-user-created-objects/rides etc.

If we don't even have TS2 on the STEX (which I am not in favor of either!!) we should definitely not have RCT stuff there. RCT has its own fansites. This is a SimCity fansite.

crushedcar you have to understand that this is the #1 SC4 fansite and with most things going on in the community is focused 99% on SC4 (the other 1% is a little bit for TS2), hence why we only have the STEX and not a TS2EX, and nothing is really mentioned about RCT so i'd just forget about it

It would be nice, but this site is for the Simcity 4 (And the Sims 2 as well as Sim Mars) so I say no.   Its a good game, but it would not be good on this site. 

 

I also think that the Sims 2 should not be on here either,  this site deals with Simcity 4, and the majority of downloads (On the STEX and the Modding files) is for Simcity 4.  But of course if you get rid of the Sims 2, that might lure people away from this site (Well the ones who like the Sims 2 only), and thats not good.

There are other sites, that have exchanges for The Sims 2 and RCT.

http://www.simvision.net has an SVex with SC4, TS2, and RCT sections - just like you said.

The reason being, is Simtropolis is SC4's #1 site and really is only for SC4. However, Simvision (being smaller) is currently supporting SC4, TS2, RCT, and Future Will Wright titles.

You could think of it like a doctor: Simvision is a GP, Simtropolis is a Specialist

This is a Simcity fansite, and putting RCT would definately mess up Simtropolis. If you put in RCT, you can rename Simtropolis to Simulationgameland.com  

I'm with everyone else on this. I don't agree this belongs here.

I think I'm the most active RCT3 Atari Forum member here.... think mind you, but even I think that RCT stuff doesn't really belong here.  All above points valid.

Anyways, yeah, this is a SimCity sight...RCT doesn't belong here. Good concept, but bandwith, etc., plus it just doesn't fit.

I and 28 (91%) people voted NO! I like stex just the way it ios, and I would not like to see ant rct things here... everything has it's place, and roller ct's place isn't here

On top of all of the reason's mentioned here, the STEX goes off-line too much as it is.  Adding a RCT extension to the STEX would be even more stuff that would have to be taken care of.  I'm sure that the admins and the STEX moderators have enough work already.
