Welcome to beautiful Rodina!

 

In this region I use a couple of modds, mainly eyecandy stuff, god mode, and many custom lots. Some cities I play, others I just build (with endless money).

I have no specific goals with this region..just play, build and have fun..

 

Hopefully you'll pardon me for not giving credits for each and every custom lot showing up in this CJ, since I seldom remember who made what..

But here's some  for all you lot makers, BATters and modders out there who keep Sim City alive and kicking with your excellent creations..

 

 

And, finally, the map and stats above will be updated as the cities develop, so do check back here every now and again..

Rodina: Ilitj area

This is a more close-up view of the capital Ilitj and it's surroundings.

 

Ilitj - the political, economic, cultural and religious centre of Rodina

Sokol - the main port(s) of Ilitj, power plants and big industrial areas.

Starovo - here lies Rodina's most important heritage site: Kameno - the standing stones.

Vaslavskij Islands - a beautiful archipelago, with the famous harbour village connecting the two small islands Lipa and Ranja.

 

Berezjniki (planned) - mainly residential areas, some commercial.

Nisjnovo (planned) - huge naval base and lots of industries.

Sokol-Arbat (planned) - residential, some industries, and a naval base on the Arbat island.

Oksan (planned) - big port for shipping lumber and mining products from the inlands.

 

..and just north of Ilitj is a new international airport being built.

Ilitj

 

 

This is Ilitj, the Capital of Rodina, founded in early 12th century

The city is divided in two halves, Staromesto (Old Place) and Novemesto (New Place), by river Ilja.

 

Biggest residential areas are Davolina, Rotov and Krilim, while most commercial are located in Prospekt and Tsentral.

There are only a few minor industrial areas in the city.

 

The oldest part of Ilitj is Starograd, with its narrow streets and beautiful wooden buildings.

 

Gusjin was originally an impressive fortress built in the 16th century, but nowadays the only remnants are the outer wall, surrounding the main cathedral and Ilitj castle.

 

 

And finally, the very heart of Ilitj (and indeed the whole of Rodina): Khram, from where the country has been ruled throughout the centuries.

great update , seems liek a real european city with all the contrasting districts and the palace in the middle. any plans for expanding the city?
