Starovo

 

 

 

This is Starovo, a small industrial town just south of Ilitj. Population about 11000.

 

Residential and commercial areas are located in Starovo, the village Malo, and on Burin island.

Most industries in Starovo are concentrated to Siljonostrov island.

 

Starovo would've been just another dull smalltown had it not been for the most important heritage site in Rodina: The 6000 year old standing stones on Kameno island.

Looking nice.How did you manage to get the piece of land where the rail run over  is over the tunnel (last pic) so straight,levelled and narrow!? It looks very cool.

Starovo: Burin

 

70 years ago Starovo was nothing but farmland.

But nowadays people work in the industries, residential areas are growing, and the remaining few farms

on Burin island will probably disappear within the next decade. Sad but true...
