So needless to say simcity 2013 was a major disappointment to me. It was my first in the series i had played, however i had played a lot of roller coaster tycoon 1 and those types of games growing up and love simulation type games. Simcity 4 deluxe is on sale a gmg for 7$ right now and despite its obvious age is it still the best simcity game out there to buy?

Without a doubt, yes. This great community that I have only recently became apart of has brought this game to new heights; something the new Sim City is trying to avoid in order to release a new one in a couple of years.

Yes, absolutely. SC4 is still an amazing game, especially with so many great things available from the modding community. 7 bucks is a steal. I paid 15 bucks for my copy of the deluxe edition.

Yes, I'd bet that you won't get disappointed by SC4. Don't think that the game is a bad game which is worse than SC13. In fact, this game is the best game in the series, trust me. If you want some proof, just check out the City Journals part and compare SC4 and SC13 CJs!

best game of the series hands down. you wont be bored especially with the amount of player created content here in simtropolis. content is still being created to this day. if you want a complex, engaging and timeless city builder, sc4 is where its at. too bad you had to play the dissappointment first.

Absolutely, SC4 is worth getting.  With the custom contect, the possiblities of creating spectaclular cities are practically endless.

I've been playing over 10 years now.  I learn new stuff all the time, and the new custom content just keeps coming.  Some of the CC creators are advancing the game in directions that were thought to be impossible, but you ain't seen nothin' yet.

This game is the best exercise in problems solving I've ever seen.  You make your own problems with the connivance of the game kernel and then you get to solve them.  Then the game poses yet another problem, etc.  This game is an application of these laws:

1. You can't win

2. You can break even, but not for long

3. You won't want to get out of the game.

I loved this!  Laws... so true.  Those laws could be put right next to the laws of physics in the library they are so infallible.
