Cough, cough.  It was dusty out there.  168,000 years ago.  The light reaches us now, heavens knows if this cloud of dust will ever arrive.  Space is like an ocean with respect to this dust.  Who knows where any particle came from?

I have noted from experimentations that after drinking 4 per cent alcoholic volume Guinness to four cansworth one can cut oneself without feeling nowt. Don't know if that's universal, but I have always wondered why doctors don't give patients a few pints of ale before injections. I once had ingrown toenails removed with local injections, and it strikes me that had I been old enough to have a few pints of Guinness it would have been much better.

 

The main reason I detested the dentist (where the injection was painless) was the weirdness of the place. 

 

But at any rate this is certainly a great medical advance and shall likely encourage vaccination (which I never undertook more because of the colds you get afterwards)

Wouldn't that lead to the problems associated with the antibacterial soaps? I don't tend to get infections aside from the occasional bronchitis. Back when I had ingrown toenails they got infected as they do but it didn't spread and I had them for years

You don't have to use anti-bacterial soaps.  Ordinary hand soaps will generally do the trick, but after you've handled such things as door knobs or currency, your hands are probably contaminated.

If this stuff had been available when I had my heart problem, I'd probably have been saved from a severe haematoma after my angiogram and all the damned staples down my chest and from groin to ankle on my leg.  Now, mind you, this was nearly 15 years ago, but really ....

I am very suspicious of drugs being given to kids, I try to stay away from any and all of it if I can! Scary!
