Hi, I'm new here :)

But not for SimCity

I have SC4 Deluxe and also had SC 3K and I liked them A lot

Do you recomend this game? (I trust U more than the Official Forums).

*and few questions: is every one here from the US or there are some from the EU/ME timezone (Since I am from this area timezone)?

Do this game has an option to change topography on the region level (So If I'll want to recreat Jerusalm/my hometown I won't have to use a 3rd party tool)?

this version of simcity at the core is more like cities XL.. if you didn't like cities XL then you will really hate this as its also missing alot of features that both simcity 4 and cities XL have and remains a lil buggy... but hey if u liked XL and simply got tired of playing it for so long then this might be a game for you "shrug"

Buying it is only a decision you can make, I would suggest that you actually go to the official forums and have a look around, not just at the hate topics but any love topics you might find too and see if it's something that you'll like.

Maybe go to twitch.tv and watch some live streamers streaming the game might help you to choose too.

People on this site like every web site are from all over the world, not just the U.S.

No there is no terraforming in this version of the game.

I'd only recommend the game at this point if you can get it on a good sale price, maybe amazon for $39.99 might be comfortable although in all honesty, I think the game in it's current state is probably more of a $20.00 to $30.00 game

yeah, the 60$ Price-tag is completely unreasonable to me (or in euros which is worse)...

And no terraforming? that is a disappointment (so its limiting me to be able to do only European/American flat city?)

And I've been to the Official forums, and by my experience, they tend to be over-dramatic (and not only at this game)

At this stage I would NOT suggest buying SC.  It just isn't fun in my opinion and definitely not worth $60.  Perhaps after a series of major patches have been released and improve gameplay, I would say no, do not buy this.

The price is dropping and if you wait you can buy the base game and some DLC for the same price it is now and get a better game.  At least wait a few months and then check back.

It has its faults but I have had days of enjoyment so far. Its like a cross between sim societies and SC4 . I kind of enjoy the challenge of building in limited space.

I can only provide an opinion based on being a fellow SimCity fan that is still on the fence about purchasing this game, but I would wait it out.  I have probably spent more time reviewing & analyzing game features for a game I have not purchased than for any game, purchased or not and so far I don't like what I've seen.

I do think, online or not, in a year this game will most likely live up to expectation after all the bugs are fixed, the modeling is fine tuned, features are added, and the map size is increased.  But besides resisting this purchase due to the absurd MMO sales pitch, it seems most people are designing the game around bugs rather than mimicing any real urban development.

It's down to about $40 on Amazon now. My plan of waiting a month for fixes and a price drop really paid off.

Rofl, your plan to save $20 over 3 weeks?  That's less than a dollar a day in savings...  I use 20 dollar bills to blow my nose, ROFL!

Avoid it! Simcity 2013, online DRM means that this game will be unplayable when they shut the servers off... ea shut down a bunch of recent games.
