  1. Why no Semi's?

Semis were in GTA San Andreas but the actual trailer wasn't connected naturally but nonetheless there were various locations all over the map where you could find the actual trailer. All you had to do is drive to the country and find at a regular semi, and then drive by this pizza place where one of the first missions with Ryder is and the trailer will be near there. I love GTA, so my apologies for being so detailed about it. Lol I done a quick google after thinking to myself, im sure i done a mission with a truck \ trailer in GTA.... GTA truck mission in google = Bingo! now i remember
  2. While this may be true, Since when does an uneducated city only attract low educated tourists... shouldn’t a large % of tourists be semi smart since they should at least need a mediocre job to be able to afford a holiday. This game is so backward it angers me; I mean c'mon this is called SimCity is it not? with the sim part meaning "simulation"? It may only be a game but whoever decided to go with the inflation agents and backward crap like this ruined a game that had that rare chance to stand the test of time.
  3. No, not so much because "in my opinion" the game is way to restrictive and limited to of been released under the title "SimCity" and instead should of been released as a sequel to Simtown. but more so because of how EA has handled its customers since launch. basically im stating that i would not buy this game in hindsight of EA's response, by extension i will be hard pressed to ever buy another title licensed by EA. "hopefully the sell the BF4 title to another company" if not i doubt ill follow the final rule as stated by skidrow.
  4. this is what ive done from day dot, im yet to have a single game banned (origin, steam or anywhere). however if or when i do, thanks to the hackers, ill still be able to play the game, i just wont be paying for it again... since around 2008 its been unsafe to purchase a game outright (rushed games since stock crash), so now i "try" before i buy. if they ban me from any one of my origin accounts then ill do the try and never buy from EA again approach (something i have alraedy doen with DLC - ill never buy DLC from EA again becuase of how they attempted to force it on BF3 players "buy or u wont get in a server" well maybe one day i will give them a second chance but they have a lot to prove first)... lets be honest its probaly partially because of people like myself that EA is trying to keep everything online, but hot damn, if they would just go back to maknig decent games i wouldent need to do the try before i buy thing (and i wouldent need 10 billion origin accounts). blizzards Starcraft and wow seriees along with the black ops side of CoD are about the only 2 franchizes i will buy out right atm (prepurchase), once upon a time id pay for any game i was intrested in withoug t needing to try it first, but game quality simply went down hill with the stock value of the companys that make them.
  5. I would love official statements from multiple game companys, so far GGG (PoE) is the only one who seems to see the value in being transparent and even they wont make statments on things like custom UI, so honestly dont hold your breath waiting for EA to make an official statment, unless of course the statment is "BANNABLE" it aint gonig to happen. Edit: for the OP, its fairly safe to assume that if EA deems mods to be bannable then they would give "fair' warning before taking any action against players currently using mods. of course after they gave warning if peopelk still continued to use them well... EA would have an excusses for banning players as they did give warning, for now they havent.... this is ofcourse an assumption, however from a bussiness stand point it seems to make sense.
  6. its a city builder, taking away the possibility of making bad choices that may lead to disasters was silly.... City builders should have real depth, those "people" as you call them would still have fun playing, but those "fans" would love it even more. This is just another quick push thru game; that is, get the game out asap to help our shares afloat... thats the main issue with games for the past 5 years, companys simply dont have the time (money) to make them to standards, they are only just managing to keep their shares up... Tbh i see a window here for an unknown company to step up and make a real city builder... a true pitty XL never did fix that performance issue or equilibrium problem.
  7. personally simcity2013 made me go back and play XL for a while, since the memory issues dont matter with todays PC's its crushes this version of sc... now only if i could get back my interest in sc4.
  8. Seven disaster in two hours

your joking right? i had 2 zombie attacks in about 30 mins and combined they only managed to kill 1 house at the end of the day any disaster that hits a university plus nuclear silo is a city destroyer
  9. Taxation Cheat

... raising taxes still takes money from the R money, while not leaving it high past 12am (midnight) will prevent them from leaving due to high taxes. but they still lose money. if you balance your tax correctly there should be no reason to lower it or raise it because u will always have the maximum cash your city can provide. (well maybe not from $$$ because they complain about nothing. the only way this is a bug, cheat or exploit is, it helps people who cant get a balance or who are trying to cheat the system by having lower taxes to raise happiness. as it is a single player game you would only be cheating your self
  10. in a city with zero population, no buildings, no roads, no zoning, etc etc nothing at all (at leased that i can find) i managed to still have a power and water deficit. and 164 visitors. well okay maybe the visitors are coming to view the Forrest or Godzilla. but with nothing more than the highway entrance and MANY trees why do i have a deficit and how do i rectify it? Edit: after searching the map CM x CM (been doing this for 45 mins ) I found a wire fence, removing it had no effect.
  11. love the design, really takes the agents travel distance into consideration. is it possible to squeeze a small power plant and water tower somewhere closer? "possibly in between the 3 bridges at the back. connecting them via a straight road and then using the dirt road trick, thus inserting an extra agent point to keep the path longer, might work. obviously you have already tried adding extra utility buildings, however if doing it this way works (just keep adding agents until it does) it should keep your traffic in check, but still at the cost of aesthetics...
  12. Complexity is only evil for a gamer who will spend no more than a month or 2 playing. as simcity "was" selling on the name of all previous simcity games it should have been more complex "more in depth", the whol point to a sequal is to Add and update an already grate game... simcity 2013 did neither, instead its more like a prequel, its dumbed down in almost every way and has many features missing. this is what i see to be the true problem behind the fail.. not the launch day\weeks connection issues, it feels as tho the company wants to keep people thinking about the failed launch instead of how they really missed the mark in creating a squeal.
  13. sorry, should of been a little more clear... is it the same group of workers and shoppers: that leave from the same group of factorys and shops each day if so a screen shot that includes these buildings and the city entrance would probs say 1000 words
  14. Traffic Improvement Tips?

unfortunately being forced to use workarounds for just about everything in the game is what ruins the experience for many players, you cannot have a down town area. you cannot have suburbs with a central shopping center, basically you cannot build a city that is realistic in any way at all because of traffic... Heck you cant even place parks in a realistic way because beach front, cliffs etc have no effect on land value. Dont get me wrong the game, in its own way is okay, but where you see things that make the game good, i see drawbacks.
  15. Homeless Sims

demolish all abandoned and rubble, ensure your entire population has jobs and are in fact making it to said job, even without a bus depo they will eventually leave the city. i believe the bus terminal only speeds up the process (personal experience i have had groups of homeless leave way before ive had a bus terminal). unsure on this but you might need to also keep shoppers happy, since they add happiness when arriving home. "in essence you need to prevent more people becoming homeless, while making sure the current ones have no where to hide"
