Even the Angry Video Game Nerd won't go near this game. :P

Reddit is going crazy about it: http://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/241r74/buried_atari_et_games_found_in_new_mexico_desert/

I think that the Nerd is going to even play this game! ;)

Well, duh, they're dull. But yeah, they are worst! Another game that I regret is F1 2003 by Electronic Arts...

The Medal of Honor on Playstation was a pain. Trust me, you could not get to play it with more than 5 minutes without getting a major headache. The graphics was just too much for the eyes.

Good thing the PC version was way way way better.

I think this thread has pretty much covered the objectively worst games.

But, how about the more subjective ones? Games that, in other words, might not be the worst in the traditional sense, but worst in that they disappointed you the most.

    Mine:

Jak 2: I loved Jak 1. It's a straight-up platformer that I still play from time to time. Loads of fun. The developers must have thought that they needed to jump on the GTA bandwagon for Jak 2, however, because it's full of pointless, annoying driving missions and sandbox levels. It was very much not the game I was expecting when I got it.

Zelda: Spirit Tracks: I don't buy Zelda games to play trains. But, I could have at least dealt with that. What I couldn't deal with was the touchpad-control fighting system. I was terrible at it and my big fat hand was always covering half the screen when I was using it, so I couldn't see what was going on half the time. So, did Nintendo make the use of the analog controls an option? Nope. I lost the game cartridge on an Air Canada jet. I didn't bother going to the lost and found to find it.

Zelda: Ocarina of Time, GameCube special edition. Oh man, did the N64 look awful. Really, really awful. I cannot stand that system. When OoT got a nice port disc as a bonus with Wind Waker, I was thrilled. The graphics will be better! Right? Right? WRONG! It is exceptionally rare that I just stop playing a game because the graphics are so god-awful that I can't even look at it anymore. OoT was such a game. Thankfully, they greatly improved the graphics for the 3DS XL version.

Final Fantasy VIII. Gunblade. If that sounds awsome to you, you'll probably like this game. That sounded stupid to me from the beginning. Combine that with this wonderful combo of assness: timed battles and a heavy dependence on esper use in said battles with overlong animation sequences that you cannot skip. I am a slow, methodical gamer and I absolutely despise being timed. It's only worse when three quarters of the time is being used up by boring, repetitive attack sequences. The game was four discs. I put it down after the first and never picked it up again.

Final Fantasy X. I thought railroading was getting to be a problem in FFVII and FFVIII, but X was the worst. It was full of stupid, arbitrary challenges (dodge the lightning!) and heavy on religion, which made no sense most of the time.

Most of the Kingdom Hearts handheld games. First, they all have stupid names. (Birth by Sleep? Dream Drop Distance?) Many, especially the DS versions, are lazy, stripped-down versions of the regular games. The GBA version had a really annoying card-based battle system. Hey, Squeenix, if I wanted Pokemon, I'd get Pokemon. You established what KH is in the first game. Don't turn it into something else just for shiggles.

The PSP version is good, however. It actually is a brand new game in the KH formula, which is all I wanted in the first place.

The Wii in general. Nintendo, we need to talk. I'm going to say something similar to what I said about Spirit Tracks. We all know you're super duper proud of your motion sensor tech. Is it seriously too much to ask for you to make all your games classic-controller compatible for those of use who don't care for motion controls?

A LOT of stuff on Steam and iOS. Okay, Steam and Apple, y'all need quality control. I am dead tired of buying what appears to be a classic game that turns out to be a really, really crappy port of a game I used to love. Stop that.

My favorite Real Time Strategy game based on historic events is Empire Earth. I love this game so much that I dare to say that it's even better than Age of Empires. EE has an epic variety of buildings, units, time ages, civilizations and strategies, spanning 500,000 years of human history, from the distant past to the distant future. Cavemen, knights, airplanes, cannons, cavalry, javelins, marines, battleships, submarines, archeries, club men, robots, helicopters, cyborgs, this game has everything and even more! With the Art of Conquest expansion, you can even get spacecrafts and alien landscapes!! Of course I have to admit that the artificial intelligence could be a little better, but it's still challenging and fun even in easy mode. The music is fantastic and, depending on where you are and what's going on there, it can be switched from idle to battle mode. This game is overall so wonderful than even the word "epic" is too small to describe it.

So it's easy to understand how much I have disappointed with Empire Earth 3. Everything has been stripped down, which means less units, less buildings, less ages, less strategies and an extremely simple economic model. There are only 3 civilizations, and they have been messed so much that you can't even consider them as civilizations. The artificial intelligence is a joke. The enemies invades into your territory and do nothing! Nothing!! The models and the graphics are cartoonist, making the game looks like Simcity Societies. All units make stupid jokes every time you select them and give them orders. Even the conquer the Earth campaign in broken, with plenty of historic inaccuracies and stupid limitations.

There is nothing good about Empire Earth 3. No matter how hard I try, I can't find something good to give it a credit. It's the worst game ever made. Worst than Tiberian Twilight, worst than Duke Nukem Forever, worst than Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, worst than ET for Atari 2600, worst even than Ride to Hell: Retribution. I'm dead serious! Empire Earth 3 is the ultimate atrocity!

And now let's make a comparison between Internet browsers and Empire Earth games, just for fun.

    Empire Earth 1 - Firefox

    Empire Earth 2 - Chrome

Empire Earth 3 - Internet Explor... ERROR...
