If you moved to the latest version of the MAC software, did you have a compatible version of Bootcamp?  Have you tried wine or wineskin?  Sometimes windows layers get fouled up and have to be reloaded.

Yes, it was Bootcamp, and everything sorted itself out. I thought about using Wine, but there's other games besides SimCity 4 I wanted to play, I would have to use a no CD crack, patching would be problematic, and no gmax!

If you use a virtual CD package you don't need a no-cd crack.

Something went wrong that basically prevented me from using my graphics card (I use Boot Camp on a Mac, so the installation is a bit strange). Like, I went to Device Manager and Display Adapters was missing completely. It was complicated and several things were attempted to no success. But I'm better now.

 

What is the model + generation of your Mac? The dedicated graphics card seems to be a weak point of MacBook Pro's, and many people encounter graphic glitches, and some even can't boot their computer anymore (I had that problem: computer boots normally, I see that in the logs, but then shows a white screen, because the graphics card isn't working properly). Until now, the problem always goes away after a few hours, luckily!

The news is I probably gonna left this site effectively from July 2014 and perhaps another 2 years.

Been fun around here, and people appreciate my works, so yeah it kinda sad really.

Coming up on the 6th, i'll be leaving Sacramento for Burbank. I'm going to see relatives down there and i'll be spending a week. They are even offering to take me to Disneyland while i'm there.

 

As for the technical stuff, i'll be on Southwest Airlines flying out of Sacramento International Airport and i'll be in the air for about an hour before landing at Bob Hope Airport. I'm so excited for this trip! And it comes just in time for the end of my summer classes!

Well, it  looks like the simtropolis  addiction brought me back... I've been a member since 2011, but haven't been around for the past few months. Finals, summer courses and a death in the family have forced me to ignore my online life, but It's great to be back!

 

As for my absence, I'll be leaving Saturday the 9th on a Q400 to Victoria, BC.  After a few days, it's  the ferry to Seattle, then back to Victoria in a  few  days to head home within a week. I should have internet for most of the way.

I might be leaving again. Roughly 1/2 dozen users have ruined MCF and ST for me and I just played up SimCity 4 for the first time in years over the weekend and Minecraft for the first time in almost a year and neither of them appeal to me. I have no logical reason to stay at either Simtropolis or Minecraft Forum. I will cut back on posting despite having several months free starting Friday because I don't want to be banned and therefore unable to help with CityBound. I already use Reddit, facebook, and my friend's forum more often than MCF or ST so this will hardly affect me.

After the revolution, they established a tyrannical government which banned anyone who mentioned SC4. All the while, the NAM team planned a counter-revolution to restore Dirk to the throne and bring freedom and equality back to ST. When they carried out their plans, a great battle ensued between the SC4 players and SC'13 players. Both sides suffered severe losses, but the SC4 players were in worse condition. Then, at their greatest moment of need, Will Wright descended from the heavens and restored peace. Dirk and the admins once again reign in goodness, and people are free to discuss whatever SimCity they choose. The end.
