In case anyone is wondering what we are talking about in the MOTM thread . . .  I just lost both of my parents, one a few weeks after the other.  It has been difficult, to say the least.

Thank you again, Zel, for stepping up while I'm not here.  Your EOTM is well deserved.

Meg, to lose one parent is bad enough.  Two close together is a tragedy.  Condolences and my deepest sympathy.

Thank you.  The good news (if there can be such a thing) is that they both died peacefully in their sleep.

My mom was already in hospice with stage IV cancer when my dad died.  After that, she went downhill very quickly.  I'm sure the death certificate will say cancer but I believe she died of a broken heart.

Wow, losing loved ones can be difficult. I offer my deepest condolences and sympathy. My grandfather died of cancer in 2001. My last happy memory of him was in 2000. My great grandmother died of old age a year or so after. I sometimes feel guilty for not visiting her more often at her senior care home. An old friend of my grandmother lost his wife to old age last year but even though he has gout and other maladies, his body just won't give up so he is in a senior home since he can no longer take care of himself physically despite his still sharp intellect. I wish he could find peace someway. I want to send him a card before he is reunited with his beloved wife in heaven. Look at me choking up, crying on a public bus!

Anyway, I left for reasons that possibly should not be shared. I will say that I now prefer Minecraft Forum and I am extremely busy with 2nd Quarter Physics and 3rd Quarter Calculus. If I keep up my hard work in College, I might earn a 3.3 this quarter. Therefore, don't expect me to hang around.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

wow, how did I end up back here again? Maybe one too many Pan-Galactic Gargle Blasters.

I reinstalled SC4 after finding an old backup disc with over a gig of plugins. It's half of what I used to run, but it was good enough to start playing again after 2 years. Now to catch up on new BATs!

Since I was last here; I have built up a decent audience on social media, offending several iconic rock stars along the way (Peter Frampton is a sniveling baby, who knew?), landed several trophy musky, suffered a debilitating back injury and the resulting surgery, and on and on it goes...

Glad to see the site has been upgraded. I doubt anyone misses the days of 5 minute page loading times.

I am also glad to see some old friends still here; and Nonny is top of that list.

Meg, my condolences on your loss.

Welcome back, old scout.  Where have you been fishing for your musky?

the Fox River in IL, it's just a few miles from me. I found a secret spot where I caught 5 in 3 hours, and lost a sixth. Best was just over 40". The funny part is, it's right in front of a treatment plant discharge, in knee-deep water.

I answered your other thread.  Look up Dr. Kim's.  I don't know if it still exists.

I'll be leaving to Florida Saturday... I'm excited to go, but I'll be missing marching band camp. Also, I'm afraid that it'll rain a lot while we're there. :(

If this is a holiday to Florida, did you have to pick the middle of the hurricane season?

Yeah, I'm going to be gone next week, so... 10,000 post thread will have 100 posts without me. Oh well. Not like it's so important. Going out to visit family in California. I will try to get on and post during the week, but probably not.
