Hi guys, like I've say in my precedent post, I've try to do an render with grey windows, and I've set the transparence of the windows to leave the blinds visible from the outside :)

Now I need to found how to add an goldish reflection at the base of the building... maybe with the the ground map.

the windows might need to be more transparent in order for the blinds to be more visible. And surely I'm gonna wait for the bronze/gold reflection to be restored. Ground map is ok, but it might be wise to make it more light or at least change it to something that has more lighter elements. I love the roof junk, but what the heck is helipad reflecting!? I believe that should be wire there not glass.

Great black box indeed! :) Good to see your stuff on the STEX again - and some action in this thread, too.

I already commented on the STEX: This building would have been 100.00% (instead of 99.90%) perfect if there wasn't that obvious seam between the modeled ground and the lot. Can't wait to see new pix of the other black box! :)

For the diagonal version you should enlarge the tower base sidewalk so that we can't see the grass stairs.

    Looks great otherwise !

    Thanks guys.

I've worked on the One Financial Plaza located in Hartford. I need your opinion on the glass reflections and let me know if you found some mistakes ;) .

Today I've began the plaza, with adding two Oak and adjusted the lot size to a 3x6 tiles. Like the 1100 Superior ave, I foreseen an diagonal version. This game need several building in diferent orientations to break the game grid.

Will you edit the base for the diagonal version so that it does not show grass around the edges? Only then will it be perfect.

    Beautiful!

The glass has a really unusual tint (which I actually quite like). It might be worth breaking up the large darker areas on the ground plane to avoid the strong contrast between the yellow and deep-green/black hues on the face of the building.

Looks great but I think the color of the trees are not right. I will PM you on how to fix it a bit when I find the Max file where i was working on trees. :D

I just realised that the building itself would propably look better if you darkened the glass a bit like you did in the first preview shown on this page. I haven't seen a RL building yet so I can't really judge about how the building's glass would look when you'd take a neutral pic. I assume the yellowish effect depends on how the sunlight is reflected.

Still it's awesome for a simple box!

    Thanks all.

    @Urielgarcia: Thanks you :D

@Aaron: Thanks buddy ;). I'm waiting your PM :D , I've fix only the height of the trees with the 130% rules.

@SkyscraperTowerBuilding: Thanks you :) .You're right about the color of the windows, I need to add grey.

Okay, I've try an other thing.

I've set the colors reflection with grey color, and the color the ground map with yellow, here the first result. But maybe the IOR was too high, I think I need to down the value to 2,3 on this picture the IOR was 3.

And I should create an invisible piece of the sidewalk, because for this time, the sidewalks reflections do not match with the colors of other items of the street.

Love that building, though I'm not sure about the reflection thingy on the helipad.

Glass is now far too busy IMO, the render you showed on 25th June was spot on :)

You changed the glass based on what one person said, who even admitted that he has never seen the building. I would respectfully suggest to take critcism and guidance as a guideline rather than changing stuff everytime someobdy suggest something. You are a fantastic BATer and are more than capable of following your own instincts :)

I agree with gutterclub (as usual).

Moreover, I'm wondering about the "lot", i.e. the BATted base. IMO, there's nothing on it that couldn't be lotted and really needs to be modeled. This would make the building far more flexible to use, including on differently sized lots. The only application where I see some benefit is the diagonal version. You could use the BATted ground there to cover the gaps between the building and surrounding streets. Then again, this could also be achieved by PedMall / filler tiles.

Thanks guys for your comments and your support as always :)

@art128: Thanks. Don't worry, the reflection is created by the invisible texture who's do for the grid arround the helipad. In the game, you doesn't see this default :)

@gutterclub: Thanks, I'm working always on the windows reflections. I want the most reallistic result ;)

@Magneto: Thanks for the compliment and the request. But I'm sorry, I've any Asian BAT foreseen for this moment .

@ T Wrecks: I would like create the base like the real building. But, I should add some streets pieces like postal boxes and other ;)

Here the building with new textures for the trees and ... the windows ;) , I'm not satisfied by this one yet :D

What's going on at those helicopter nets? The part that sticks out towards the back is all yellow - could it be that your ground plane somehow shows there?

    Thanks a lot guys.

@Reddon: Thanks, I've reduced the trees size ;)

    @libellibicus: Thanks as always ;)

@T Wrecks: You're right, this is the ground map, I need to try the building ingame to see if it's visible in-game ;)

@SkyscraperTowerBuilding: Thanks, I added some objects on the sidewalks :)

    That is the result :

Those are nice trees beyond any doubt, but I'd still prefer the building only, without any BATted ground. Not that I wouldn't take it as is, of course, but still... ;)

Try to make the helicopter glass less reflective, where it does not show the yellow of the ground plane. Are all the trees using the same textures? Looks like some of the trees are using a different texture.

    Thanks a lot guys ;) .

The nightlights are already begun :] , but for the reflectivity under the helipad grid, I don't know why it's visible yet, I reduce the reflection level at 0 :/
