SOOO MANY MODS! Where do I start?

So I'm trying to find some cool eye candy mods (besides the BAT/ploppable building ones) but the problem is that there's so many of them. Please help me out with reccommending me good ones it would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm trying to find waterfall mods but for some reason I can't find them (maybe I'm just blind). I remember there was also a huge mod that had tons of different transportation intersections and rural highways, can't find that either.

Please don't give me a cheating mod - I want to legitimately grow my cities! Thank you

The one you're thinking of is the Network Addon Mod, the first thing mentioned even before that Top 10 list (along with the Real Highway Mod and it's other sister mods).

As for other aesthetic mods, the first types that come to mind are Terrain, Rock, and Water Mods. These should be chosen completely based on opinion. Here's a list of all the terrain related plugins (with links!). I will say that some of the most acclaimed are cycledogg's Columbus mod (kind of old now) and the more recent Meadowshire mod. They turn your terrain into a detailed temperate landscape, like eastern Europe or the eastern US. Of course there are ones that will give you deserts or rain forests or anything in between.

Other than that, you just have to do some looking on the STEX. My other advice is to look at people's pictures and city journals, look for stuff you like, and try to figure out where to get it (do try not to spam up the "Can't Find It?" thread please. )
