Well I won't be preordering because my computer isn't good enough to play this, was thinking of building one but looking at £700. I would build it for the this game, a lot of other pc games interest me but mostly this one.

However not going to build a pc just for this so that's another sale lost, it's a shame because the game does look good so far.

I cancelled my pre-order because I'm becoming skeptical of the game. And it doesn't come out until February.

And I need the money for the LCE of Forza Horizon.

I haven't preordered. I may've when the game was announced but I didn't have the money. However, now I do have the money yet the more I read about the upcoming title the further away my hand gets from my wallet. It looks real nice and my computer could handle it no problem, but in it's current state I feel the gameplay will take too much away from individual creativity... regardless of how many pointless shapes you can make out of roads.

Still, I'm going to reserve final judgement for reviews and Let's Plays that give us a non-biased glance at the games merits and foibles.

I can't remember the last time I've pre-ordered a game (probably Madden and Out of the Park Baseball), but everything else I've reserved until I felt I REALLY wanted the game or others have shown the game is actually worth playing. SC2013 intrigues me with the new circulatory system, etc, but it seems they took a step back in other areas (reminds me of Madden 2013, ugh).

Pre-ordering is always a risk. I think it's wise to never rush into pre-ordering, unless there is solid evidence to prove that it's worth it. When a new game is first announced, people often rush into pre-ordering because they think they'll miss out. This is untrue. There are no advantages in pre-ordering, except the fact you may get the game a few days earlier. Companies are often pressured to meet product release dates, meaning certain aspects of the game may be rushed, and there may be critical bugs that need to be addressed. Personally, I don't think it's a risk worth taking.

In the case of SimCity, there have been clear issues from the start of development. At first, I was surprised and excited at the announcement - a game that we've waited a long time for. But soon I became sceptical, as it was apparent the series would be taking a different route. The news of a forced online requirement and no dedicated single player mode were very disappointing to say the least.

As it stands, like many others, I will not be buying the game between now and the release date. But although I highly doubt it, there is still time for things to change, if EA wants to change them. So only after waiting for the initial feedback and reviews will I make a final decision.

I'm on a very high fence. I definitely won't be pre-ordering unless I get it as a gift this holiday season.

I am not pre-ordering because it's not the city-building game I want. This game is misleadingly called SimCity. As an MMO it should be called SimUnionsOnline.

When they decide to take the enlightened path of adding an uncrippled Simcity:Sandbox2013 standalone version, I will 100% pre-order and get extra copies for my niece and nephew!

From the second they announced the new game I was like "I am totally getting this the day it comes out! I can't wait." But i never did pre-order it. And I'm glad i didn't. I still want it but i can wait a while for the prices to drop. And now I'm like "I can wait"

People who are really adamant about cancelling their orders can always dispute the charge with their CC company.

Vote with our wallets people. EA is screwing and ruining a iconic game.

I must agree. I often tell loyal SimCity fans not to pre-order the game. Pre-ordering the new SimCity game means that one is willing to accept the game's flaws and cannot complain if it becomes lacklustre.
