Changing NAM from LHD to RHD - Should I uninstall it?

Hi everybody,

Since 2004, when I bought SC4, i've been playing it on left hand drive. (a weird thing, because in Israel we drive on the right... Must be due to that it's the euro version) :}

In the past two years I got back into playing and for the last few months I downloaded many lots, BATs etc. and of course learned about the option of cahnging the driving direction to my likings.

At last, after many deliberations - I finally made the move! But now I have a new issue:

What to do with NAM? Should I uninstall it as whole? Should I delete LHD-related files only? I have to say that in times like these it's better to turn to professionals than do it yourself.. :???:

So, I hand the topic to you, hoping for an answer.

Thanks,

Guy

Someone from the NAM team would probably tell you to uninstall then reinstall the whole thing, but I can tell from my personal experience it will work if you just erase the RHD related files and replace them with LHD, or the other way around

To make things safer and easier I just installed the NAM with desired driving side and options in a temporary folder then opened 2 windows with each version of the NAM and made the tweaks accordingly

Yea, I just deleted the left hand files.

Keep It Simple, Make It Fun. It is not hard to drop the entire NAM and reinstall it as desired, at least for me. I have it in its own folder. Deleting files and inserting others is more work, and will have the same result.

Either removing the LHD files or reinstalling the NAM will do the job. I'd concur with A Nonny Moose that reinstallation would be easier.

    Well, after some thought I decided to uninstall and install again...

    The thing I forgot to write is that I have SAM, RAM, NWM, and RHW besides the standard NAM.

    And I was going to download the new euro mod by Mandelsoft (mrtnrln) - so I will have a fresh, tidy start.

    Thanks for everybody who helped!
