I've have been curious, I have yet to see a pic/vid of vehicles pulling into a business, residence, etc. And yet I've heard many times that every sim has a "story", a purpose... goes to work, comes home, etc.

Why are the sims higher then the cars?.. Please get this stuff right! (scales of people, cars, buildings, sidewalks etc..)

where do you live that people are shorter than cars when they stand next to them? :P

Maybe if you live in Thailand where the average person is under 5 feet... The sims are the one's out of scale to me. Using the cars as the base scale, we'll say they are 5 ft. high, the trams are twice that height, 10 ft, that means the sims are looking like 7 or 8 ft high. They are looking to be about the same height as a bus... definitely off.

The only justification for this is that Maxis wants the sims to be more visible. Not a very good excuse. Give a trixie to the first person who mods this, haha

I assume, as in SC4, that if everything were properly and exactly in scale, it wouldn't look right. For instance, in SC4, Sims are three meters tall. If they were properly in scale, they wouldn't be visible.

I see no cars trying to intersect from driveways? I see no sims getting in their cars as they walk out of a shop / appartment? I mean, The Glassbox engine apparently simulates every single sim in the city, going to work, having their hair cut, this means we should see cars pulling in and out of drive ways; I see none in those pictures. Also no w2w buildings, this really is a disappointment as w2w gives you that true "inner city" feel.

All in all the pictures do give me a slightly better feeling of the game than I previously had, looks like a good amount of different buildings, the roads look great, traffic looks good, trams, but the sims are huge for some reason.

Now I'm interested in a city overview picture, why has Maxis not given us this? I hope the reason in not because of the ridiculously small city tiles....

In the second picture, I see an old Chevy pickup, VW Microbus, possibly an AMC Gremlin, possibly a clothtopped Jeep, what looks like a first generation Ford Focus, some real tiny microcars, and a whole bunch of 'Rolls Royces'.

I'm not sure if it's the wealth factor, but there are a whole lot of 1980-ish looking cars driving around.

I am really surprised that no one has mentioned the trams running directly through the station platforms. :uhm:

This isn't a complaint as I realize this wouldn't be released like that, just find it amusing.

The E3 videos have vehicles pulling in and out of lots. Including some sim interaction between vehicles and units.

As with scaling, like SC4, it's all part of the artstyle's intention.

They'd most probably fix that. A lot has been added since the first released shots, but I too still see parts that are missing or needs to be fixed. Though I won't pin point each one of them since I know that they can't show everything with only a couple of pictures and that the game is still being developed.

And like any other game, especially with a detailed one like SC, there are bound to be some imperfections.

Maybe I'll change between now and release day, but I'm really not loving the whole graphic style that they're going, I guess you all are calling it tilt shift, it's really just not doing anything for me.

It looks far too much like I'm looking down on my old train set that I use to have taking up most of our 2 car garage.

Yes, I agree as I stated when I pointed that out.

Regarding the traffic in and out of lots, you are right, I had to go back and look at some of the vids and sure enough found some examples of it. Thanks for pointing that out.

Here's one that shows examples of both cars leaving and entering residence and business parking lots:

lol. What I mean is that the sims look too big compared to the cars. They are huge. Not that a normal person can't reach up to the top of a normal height car.. :P

Which was perfectly fine in SC4 since we had preset zoom levels. However, SC2013 gives us the ability to zoom in very close and at many different angles. When i'm zoomed up close to take pictures of my sims in my city... I'd rather have realistic scale, even if it means they are barely visible from afar. Isn't that kind of the point of tilt-shift?

I wouldn't really worry about saturation. Just have your computer run custom graphics settings (e.g. lower brightness, saturation) whenever you play SC2013.

I just noticed that the sims are bigger than their cars!

If you look at the width of the lanes in the first picture.. if they made the cars any bigger they wouldn't fit onto their roads!

Maxis has such a habit of making roads too narrow (SC4 highways!?)

It looks very promising, but one thing I noticed was a lot of repitition in the graffiti. I see the word cost on three buildings and the green tagging on a multitude of others. The trams appear to be a very good step up from the transportation of sim city 4.

Not all the people have HUGE cars like in the US, lol. Im a lot taller than most of the normal cars in Europe, and the people on those screenshots looks quite normal compared to the cars for me. Maybe they are a little too big, but not that much.

But what is wrong with the trams? They go directly though the tram stations, lol.

And I agree that it looks a little bit too colourfull, but I don't worry about that too much. Our modders will make this game beautiful, I can already imagine how it will look like :D

The trams are good to see, although I wonder how people get to the stations without killing themselves in the road traffic?

Never mind the road traffic, those people on the platform are going to get hit by the next tram . I'd say if the worst complaint is scaling of structures and vehicles than we're in pretty good hands. Those are fairly easy to fix and if they're not fixed in the release they're not game stopping problems. That said those images are pleasing on the eyes and it's nice to see rich vibrant images reflecting different possibilities and outcomes in the game.

They do not need to bother with the traffic because anyway will be killed by tram while crossing the station.

How much more images we see the thing is getting worse. More than the time to show views of game running or the credibility of this release gone already down

Now after so many complaints put the position to hear the fans on the official page after all the time claimed to have done from the beginning

If the release has the same effect of Societies in the Face ...the wrath something really bad

I will read a lot of people with angry.

SC2013 gives us the ability to zoom in very close and at many different angles. ??????????

Surely this means we will have free camera and this will be definitely a game in 3D. I would love to see where this is already reported... it's change my thinking about the game!

At the very least from the screenshots, the cities feel different, and they look alive. If i get that feeling from just the screenshots then i cant wait to get my hands on the game.
