can you toggle infinite money on / off

I bet in the amount of time it takes for you to get an answer, you could have figured it out by just testing it yourself. -
Flight Cimulator Mod for C:S!

If the dev's have any intention of making a U-Drive it mode style DLC, they better do it fast before modders beat them to it. -
Recreational Usages

I'd like to see an alcohol prohibition ordinance that increases crime/budget. No booze for district 12! And I'd explain to the child the way you explain alcohol; adults sometimes like to wind down with a beer, wine or maybe marijuana. They should be of the age where they've learned about alcohol prohibition and if not, what perfect timing to get a little history lesson from mom or dad. -

Highrise Ban District Policy broken?

I would love to see the ban only allow level 1 of high density zoning. -

That's hilarious, now all we need is a hemp industry specialization! (I bet that wouldn't be too difficult to mod in) Where did you get the purple haze mall?- 324 Replies

Build/zone on pedestrian paths
MINIggy03 replied to MINIggy03's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
I plopped the parking lot, got it off the workshop. It behaves like a park but I've seen people park and head elsewhere on the island. Pretty neat! -
Modding zoning possible? Building sizes?
MINIggy03 replied to TheeLord's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
We need a medium density and we need better wealth levels. Each density should be 3 levels; low, medium and high wealth. -
Build/zone on pedestrian paths

Didn't take long, http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=409184143&searchtext= You can now build parks on pedestrian paths! They are in the roads category and service vehicles will drive on them slowly for access. You can also zone but it's only recommended for residential. Delivery trucks can't get to them (yet, I suppose). Just cement paths for now, I'm sure dirt will be added soon. I gave it a test spin and turned my island into a bustling park! I am very impressed by the amount of Cims that want to visit, it's pretty out of the way. I also love that they wonder around the entire island, it feels very lively, (there's something super satisfying seeing cims pour out of a subway like ants on a hill) This guy came prepared and brought his fanny pack, (or maybe he wore his underwear wrong) -
Anyone interested in British Post-War semis and 'grim' realism?
MINIggy03 replied to Deed_Poll's topic in Cities: Skylines Modding - Open Discussion
It gets a lot easier once you do it enough times. Then it just becomes tedius. But the end result of seeing your model in the game will make it all worth it! -
My Biggest Fear... Unique Cities!
MINIggy03 replied to Robotica's topic in Cities: Skylines General Discussion
They are working on a european building pack and I believe it is going to be free. We just have to remember that they are a small team with a small amount of artists. They pumped out as many buildings as they could up until release and while we may be a little disapointed with the variety, it's still rather impressive for such a small team and they easily make up for it with community content support. -
beware the early game boom and bust.
MINIggy03 replied to BorisS1990's topic in Cities: Skylines General Discussion
What would be REALLY helpful is if when you hit the milestones, your Cims don't go INSANE on demanding the new unlocked services. I honestly only struggle when I hit a milestone and the service demand smacks my budget in the face. I have to either let them complain and move out or put myself back in the red from their demands. -
Launch day sales are in.... Fastest selling Paradox game ever...
MINIggy03 replied to Xenocity's topic in Cities: Skylines General Discussion
Sure, but it doesn't equate to mainstream appeal. Simcity has never had mainstream appeal, the only two Simcity titles to break 3M sales are Simcity 3000 and Simcity 2013. Simcity and Cities: Skylines are as niche as Most Nintendo's games, Most of Sony's games, and most Japanese games in general (yeah most Japanese games no longer sell well in the West). Even Street Fighter struggles to maintain mainstream appeal these days. A game with low mainstream appeal would be Take 2's NBA game, Sony's GT series, Lego games, Just Dance series, etc... A game with mid mainstream appeal are Pokemon, Mass Effect, BioShock, Halo, Destiny, Mortal Kombat, Final Fantasy, etc.... A game with high mainstream appeal are Call of Duty, GTA, Assassins Creed, EA Sports, etc... Just because a game doesn't have enough mainstream appeal (must be designed for the mainstream), or sell enough to break into the main stream (MineCraft, Pokemon, Mario), doesn't make it bad. It just means it's not popular with the majority of consumers. The next big Steam sale is at the end of June, if they put the game on sale it could sell through the roof. Though it doesn't mean people will play it... I think our definitions of "mainstream" differ. You don't have to sell tens of millions of copies to be considered low/med/high mainstream, it's not ranked by sales or even low/med/high. That idea seems silly to me. I grew up with SimCity as a household name, it very much is/was a mainstream brand. It was on just about every single computer in school from elementary to HS. Mothers played it. Dads played it. Kids played it. My uncle taught me how to play it. Hardcore players grew a rabid fanbase. These were both hardcore fans mixed with normal joe shmoe's who didn't play games like Call of Duty or GTA or even Mario or games at all. That's the definition of a mainstream game, one that appeals to a large audience. SimCity is just as mainstream as Call of Duty or Halo, MineCraft, Mario or Lego games. Their sales numbers don't dictate their rank as a mainstream title. There is no rank, it either is or isn't mainstream. It's about brand identity and the audience that they capture, not ranking them by sales #'s. Cities:Skylines has sold over 500,000 in a week. That is a LARGE audience, one that is breaching beyond its niche. I've seen MANY people on gaming forums that don't play this type of game pick it up. My uncle who hasn't touched SimCity since 2000 is now interested in jumping back in after me geeking out about it on facebook. When you can bring both your fans of the genre and those who don't typically play these games together, you've officially brought your game into the mainstream. -

I'm pretty sure 500,000+ sold easily indicates that this game is getting noticed. And SimCity has always had mainstream appeal, they sell very well.
