Thanks for sharing Hoflaan 52. I'm on my sons IPad at the moment, so I'll be downloading it this evening.

T Wrecks : Let me clear this problem. The prop pack contains the model+prop version+ some other props and model, the Hoflaan 52 download contains growable version+lot of the Hoflaan 52 with the ground, and the model is NOT included. I hope this will make it clearer for you.

libellibicus : Thank you for the comment

I really like how your BATs fits perfectly with the Maxis BATs, what are the doors' heights you use? also the normal roof height?

I use around 3 and 4 for the roof height of every floor.

Gn_Leugim : The basic thing you need is the BAT props because the model is also there. The growable version only contains a datpacked desc and lot. If you want to modify the model, you must have the BAT props.

IL : The height of the door is around 3,4 m, while the roof is around 3.5-4 m.

Three weeks of absent is enough, time to continue this project. I have an idea to pack all of these 7-10 house models (Meester Van De Venstraat 15,
Meester Van De Venstraat 23-25, Hoflaan 35-39, Hoflaan 42, Hoflaan 44, Hoflaan 48, and Hoflaan 50) in a single download. Btw, at this moment, it is not more than a plan, because the only one I make so far is just one of them, Meester Van De Venstraat 15, and even this one is not finished yet. There might be some changes with the plan in the future, either a house is added or removed from the initial plan.

And this is the progress of Meester Van De Venstraat 15 so far :

Time is very fast, I didn't realize that the thread has been inactive for almost a month. I'm very busy this month and probably, I will be still busy until few months from now.

But, I have some time to open the file today, and when I open it, a message popped up and it said "file open failed". I tried to open it once again and the perfectly same message popped up again. Soon after, I open the autoback. Fortunately, I found a copy of the file there, and this one can be opened. However, in this version, some problems are still exist and until now, I'm still working with it. I hope I can post some pictures about the progress of the project soon.

It has been a week since I post my last post here? Really? Why the time is just too fast?

Though I'm still pretty busy, I have enough time to continue and post some pictures today, please look at them and don't forget to give some comments!

    b. The same house with darker texture:

c The same house with white texture:

Hey, I like the variation! But does the roof really finish flush with the walls? Doesn't it overhang at least slightly?

This family of houses is way cool, but I would echo what TWrecks said about the flush finish on the roof. Other than that, they are just what are needed in game.

Gn_L: Sure, just check the pictures below.

T Wrecks: Really? Can you tell me about which part that seems overhanging?

Pobs: Thank you for the comment.

skyscraper241: Thank you for the comment

libellicus: Thank you for the comment, and I have asked T Wrecks about which part of the roof that overhang.

Yesterday, I make the first experiment with customizing the color of the houses, and now, I will continue with the Hoflaan 44. First, I will introduce you two more versions:

No, no. There's a misunderstanding. The roof does not overhang anywhere in your models. And that's what I was asking: Is it really that way? Normally roofs do overhang the wall somewhat - sometimes more, sometimes less, but a certain overhang is always there.

As for the red version, I think the saturation is too high. The blue version looks fine to me. I really like these houses. :)

Gn_L: Just check the houses, I bet you will be surprised!

libellibicus: Well, you must wait, this house is not about to be released soon. Please read post #278 for further information about my plan. Although it may takes a long time to be finished, but the result will be amazing, hopefully.

T Wrecks : I get it. Actually, two sides (front and back) of the house overhang the wall, while the other two (the right side and the left side) didn't. Now, the right side and the left side overhang the wall slightly, and the problem has been solved. And about the red texture, please check the house now!

In this update, we will see about the progress so far.

    MANY BUILDINGS  :boggle:

Nice variation. But I think as it is the same building over and over again (isn't it?) I think it would be better to focus an the modelling and on the LOT. But that's no offense, just an advice and it looks great!

skyscraper241: 48 images in total, 8 pictures/house, 2 for each render, one showing the day render and the other one showing the night render.

Gn_L: Those are not using the "regular" nightlight, but they use the mix of Omni light and the Maxis light. When I'm trying to use the manual nightlights only, I get failure. By mixing the omni and the maxis "regular" lights, the result is much better (that's why the lights are a bit different from the maxis lights if you look at them closely)

Well, after a very big update that kills your mouse wheels, now I come with just two news.

    1. I have export the models and I have made the lots, in-game pictures will come soon.

    2. About the project, these are the next two buildings that I'd make :

    Hoflaan 48, Maasbommel:

    16kyxcj.png

Rijksweg 85, Velden, Limburg: (this one will become the first CS BAT I ever made)

First, I'd show you some ingame pictures of the BAT:

Just that? Nope, this update also contain the progress of Hoflaan 48 so far.

    m2x7tzN.png

    UYodH69.png

I have a plan to add some variations, you can probably see them in the next update.

EDIT: The renders of the Hoflaan 48 have been replaced by the renders that should be shown in this update

NEVER use "maxis" AKA default lights as they block any omni lights inside the house by blocking whatever transparency there is as it 'replaces' the texture applied on an object

    I have to second this,

"Maxis lights" override anything on the geometry they are used in, so no mater you add to them, they will be always yellow/cyan/greenish

OK, I think the in-game shots show quite clearly that saturation is still too high, mostly in the darker colours.

Scale-wise they look good. It's hard to judge because Maxis were so inconsistent themselves, but I think you could even scale them up a tiny bit. Maybe take a screenshot filled with Maxis single-family homes and export / photoshop one version "as is" and another one scaled up by... I dunno... 10-20%? In any case, I'm not sure, and I'd welcome the opinions of others.

Hoflaan 84 looks spot on so far! Great modeling, good textures, very realistic. :golly: Saturation looks fine as well on this one. <= me not complaining... wow.

I can totally see all these being used in any European-themed suburb. :)
