EA has filed a trademark application for "SimOcean". Any ideas as to what this may be? Some ideas are a Sims expansion pack, Simcity expansion pack, or even an entirely new game. Thoughts?

    I saw an article about it. Searching SimOcean on Google brings up several of them.

    If it were a Simcity expansion pack, what would it include? Seaport stuff?

    I believe more in the version of Siliconera, who spread the news of the request SimOcean brand for Europe.

    It should even be a new game based on the latest reinvention of the wheel of the EA - "The Glassbox".

    Who knows after SimCity, the publisher does not resolve to win one more extra money, reissuing titles like SimHealth, SimEarth, SimLife, SimCopter; SimAnt, etc ...

    If by reinventing the wheel, it means "inventing Michelin tires from stone cart wheels," then I guess Glass Box can be called that but Glass Box + Spore tech (procedural generation, etc) + [insert something to be simulated here] = awesome!!!

    I look forward to seeing how this all turns out but I shall not be preordering.

    Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

    I'd like it to be able to recreate various ocean ecosystems: open water, reef, deep sea, etc.

    If this is the case, then I hope that it would create more good than harm to our natural environment... In contrast to the effects of Pixar's Finding Nemo. :meh:
