Im fearing the worst and am a little annoyed right now.

SC3000 engine with SC4 assets, hardly anything worth doing a press release at GDC over. So I really doubt that this is the "main event" so to speak.

my prediction is that they will announce sc5, but it wont be what we, all of us here, are wishing for.

It will not have custom content!

EA will just leave us sc4 and say 'get on and develop that, thats whats sc4 about, sc5 is something better!', err hang on... say that again...

EA will say 'sc5 is a new game with cute graphics for kids and families and integrates social media for users of an xbox to a tablet app'

Im pessimistic, lowering my hopes, expecting nothing but wishing for everything and those magic words 'custom content allowed'.

Does anybody else have a picture in their mind of the entire Internet exploding into balls of confetti when EA makes their announcement this evening?

I don't know why, maybe from reading all the people here with their enthusiasm it just puts it in my mind that the buzz will immediately be posted on all related websites and overwhelm the internet to the point of exploding into huge amounts of confetti.

Would be hilarious if Maxis are actually making a Spore FPS. Where you use the creature creator to create a character then run around as him in FPS mode xD

I am super excited right now. I have been wanting a real Sim City V for so long. I get my temporary fix by looking around on Google Earth but thats not enough. I need to be able to modify it. To grow it. And for all the utilities to work as they should. So that all the modes of transportation work properly too. With real 3-d buildings. Oh and I'd love it if they leave it open so that our modding community can help make Sim City 5 even better...

That definitely doesn't relate to the announcement, that product has been available for a while, whereas this is a new ANNOUNCEMENT. Something we haven't seen before.

SimCity for Kindle Fire is just like SimCity Deluxe for iPad.

By the way, it is obvious that any new game will be devoid of custom content at the first public release, otherwise it would not be custom. Custom content creation tools, however, are released the same month as the game ideally.
