Looks great, Jeroni.

What yuo should do is with the road, have a road following the coastline, making a Great Ocean Road along the coast - great for Sims to go for a leisurely drive one weeked.

Ok, I think it's time again to let you know that I am lurking again in this CJ.

It looks like a great start already and I hope you will have as much fun as you did with SCR.

......47.gif and I thought that you said that you haven't gotten much time to make another great CJ.21.gif....well, I wish I had at least half the time you do. Lotsa luck, jeronij!2.gif

Which area to build first42.gif

ahh, let me think.....41.gif
?Simtropia. a lot of challenges
?Colombia: dedication to SCR
?Ruralia, would be making sense out of a realistic point of view.
So many questions.....34.gif

Well, 37.gif, I decided to favour Simtropia. Why? The other regions are supporting regions (Naval base, Airfield) for this town. It also gives you all kind of new challenges that I am curious to see how you solve them (waterfront walks, tunnels and bridges).

Timeline of Simtropia:

1st: I would start with Columbia so you would have a connection to the major body of water already...
2nd or 3rd: You can interchange between Ruralia or Bastiania
4th: I'd end with Simtropia because it looks like a region that would be a grand finale region becuase of how challenging it looks...

But it appears that everyone else wants to start off with the harbor first...to me, it really doesn't matter because I would love it anyway you gave it...ha-ha
Thanks for showing the city borders... I noticed them

Big thanks for that help section! I should have thought of that...19.gif

hey!

i think you should focus on one part and do them one on one.
it makes things easier to think about so you wont have to sort the ideas to any part but keep your eye (and mind) on the one part your developping.

btw: you basic ideas on the layout and the finished map are both looking awesome. i cant wait to see the next 110 pages 5.gif

Hi there Jeroni!

The map is looking awesome! This CJ is moving at top speed, eh? And you haven't even started building yet! You have many many fans.

My vote goes to Bastiania! Simply because a great kid deserves to come in the first place! 2.gif

My vote would be to start in Simtropia.  The way I see it is that Sims in search of the perfect life travel across the ocean, discover the river delta, settle at the mouth of the river, set up a harbor and trading post, and spread out to colonize the area.

Whichever area you choose to develop first, I know it will be great.

Just wanted to say that I think you should start with the one you want, but if you want us to decide, just look at the other posts. I'll leave it open...

First, thank you to Sloppet for sending the link to the region census.  I downloaded it but have not yet installed it.  I will do so this evening, as soon as I am done here.

Someone suggested Simtropia as a starting city becuase that's where Sims would come to first if they came from across the ocean.  I agree and am glad to see that Jeronij has decided to start with this area first, despite my suggestion last night to start with Ruralia.  I am female...I have the perogative to change my mind!

Yo hablo pocito espanol but I have a small worry that many of your fans don't habla mucho espanol and so the foreign place names you have chosen may affect thier enthusiasm for your project.  My guess is that your English speaking fans will shorten and nickname the areas you have named.  A project run via democracy and across language differences is bound to run into this.  I am learning and will keep this in mind when I stat my own city project.

I like the basic transportation systems you have laid down and think they are going to service your region very well.  Like all the rest of your fans, I can't wait to see some buildings...

jeronij

As I can see so far the finished region looks great! What can I say... This is really impressive! Both transportation maps are really cool! The region view is outstanding! As I can see the names of the cities are very quite weird if you'd ask me... More suggestions + some CJ present coming soon...
