Well when I was growing up I wasn't allowed to watch much television. These days I don't have one.

I suppose I'd list the ones I watched primarily in my ten years when I had a color tv and later a digital one.

Daria, Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, Avatar etc I saw on Rollercoaster or SBS. I remember Drawn Together, of course.

I also watched Saturday Disney on prime.

It strikes me that really I haven't changed my animation taste since I was quite young, but that also I have become more aware of the flaws in them... I idolised Daria and Bart as gods... These days I suppose I consider them just... as relatively less bad than other people...

I suppose I would list Pokemon but I found the plot somewhat repetitive... Avatar was better for this reason...

I remember seeing Fantasia at school (the original one) back in around 98 and House of Mouse on Saturday Disney. Haven't seen much else of his adventures.

The first episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic that I have watched was "Winter Wrap Up" back in 2010 at its premiere. I immediately loved it. Then followed a marathon of the first six episodes the next day. Loved it even more. Then, I stopped getting the channel on TV.

After a year or more, the channel is activated again. I decide to watch the show again, especially reruns. This meant waking up at 6 AM. I got to the middle of Season 2 before I stopped watching TV.

When I got Netflix, I finished Season 2 and watched any episode I missed. Since then I have never watched FIM again.

You can get saturated by anything.  M. Mouse cartoons haven't been made since the studios stopped using cels, I think.  They are all old, and many of them are experimental.  I agree that Stokowski's Fantasia was the better of the two.  M. Mouse's Sorcerer’s Apprentice is definitely good interpretation for the Dukas' tone poem.

As a kid in the 60's I loved Hanna Barbera's Herculoids, Space Ghost and DIno Boy, Birdman and the Galaxy Trio, Moby Dick and Mighty Mightor, and Shazzan, I loved Banana Splits, Arabian Knights, and the Three Muskateers, Fantastic Four, The Space Kiddettes and of course Jonny Quest and Sinbad Jr...  as an adult... Justice League and all Bruce Timm's Universe of DC Animation, Thundercats 2011, Symbionic Titan, Samarai Jack, Invader Zim, Rocko's Modern Life, Boondocks, The Venture Brothers, 90's X-Men and Spiderman.. Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes

A Nonny Moose ...... I preferred Ralph Bakshi's Mighty Mouse over Mickey Mouse anyday... I never really found Mickey that funny.... Looney Tunes were certainly more adult than Disney characters by far...

@chocolate_city:  Mighty mouse is a melodrama.  Mickey Mouse didn't have much of a message if any.  When it comes to melodrama I think I prefer Rocket J. Squirrel with the Boris and Natasha segments.

Almost as much fun as "Who Stole the Corks at the Vinegar Works" starring Sterling Quality, Nelly Neverbeenhad, and that villain of all villains: Rodney Rottenheart.  This used to play live at a roadhouse outside of Phoenix, AZ in the 1970s with the wait staff as the cast.  This place was the only restaurant I know of that sold a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for $99.  This came with a fanfare.

I'd have to include that another favorite of mine would have to be South Park. Though crude and tasteless at times I always get a laugh from it!

I'm sure a lot of here are also fan of Avatar: Legend of Aang. It was really a great cartoon from Nickelodeon, awesome story line and amazing character designs. I kinda dislike Avatar: Legend of Korra though. Comparing the two, the former is way much much better than the latter.

Transformers: The Movie (1986)

And you thought that Michael Bay's Transformers movies are good? Oh please, even the intro of this classic masterpiece is way better than Bay's trash!

I would agree with you Mark. Definitely the original series with Aang is better. Lately (season 2) Korra has been really annoying, and I only finished the season to see how everybody else got out of the conflict. I could really have cared less for what happened to hear (because she was such an egghead the whole time).

For older animation, I definitely remember enjoying Looney Tunes & Tom & Jerry, as well as the other classic Hanna-Barbera stuff like Scooby-Doo, Jonny Quest, The Flintstones, Yogi bear...Also, the only Anime that I really enjoy is the classic Japanimation Speed Racer. Ah, the motor mouth, who could forget it? Oh yes, and classic Disney animation, though I'd say that's already on most people's list.

For newer animation, I'd say definitely Avatar:The Last Airbender. I haven't had that much fun watching a modern cartoon ever. Usually I just complain about how dumb or crude the characters are, but A:tLA was a genuinely good show. Captured the essence of the older cartoons with sense enough to be re-watchable long after. I also really liked Recess, and the New Adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh, though they seem a little...simple to me now. The old WtP are always watchable, though. Of course, they're Disney as well, but I don't really like new animation practices/themes.

And for PBS, I'd say Arthur (before they switched to Flash animation) and Word Girl (of all things...my sister's six, so I have some excuse...). All that being said, I don't think I've watched more TV than most people, though I think maybe it was more social. How many people here have watched Scooby-Doo and Tom and Jerry with their parents on a semi-regular basis?

Scooby Doo was a great show! Dang, reminds me of childhood. Well, I wasn't much of a cartoon enthusiast before, I would simply watch when I could but those episodes of Scooby Doo really got imprinted in my mind. Hahaha

Tom and Jerry too was a great series. Must be the reason why I am so hyperactive now. Lels.

Re: Scooby.  Have you ever met any of those clowns (Great Danes).  Most of them are just huge lap dogs.  I've only met one that was trained as a guard dog, and that was in a Marina.  He was OK once you had been properly introduced.

Yesterday, I saw Frozen, which was praised beyond belief and made over a billion dollars. Is it good? Yes. Is it great? Kind of. Is it my favorite Disney movie? Not even close.

My favourite current cartoon is basically only The Simpsons (seasons 1-18), however I do like Beavis & Butthead and Ren & Stimpy. When I was a lot younger, my favourite cartoons/animations were Thomas The Tank Engine, Busy Buses, The Wild Thornberrys, Spongebob (seasons 1-4), The Land Before Time, Sitting Ducks, Sharky's Friends, Looney Tunes & Hi-5 (just to name a few :P). I use watch a lot of other cartoons too, but the ones mentioned above were my favourites.

Favourites?  I could go on and on.  From current perspective:

Pretty much all the early Disney done with cels.  Bambi especially.

The Rocky & Bullwinkle TV show with the Boris and Natasha segments.

Bob Clampett's Cecil the seasick sea serpent.

What about actualizations like Spider Man?  And recent CGI efforts?
