Who is your favorite BATter?

the best?  i don't know, there are a lot of BATters that i consider to be the best.  such as SimGoober, the entire NDEX team, pegasus, tonks...  then there are the ones that dont have that many BATs but produce great quality BATs, such as /zumi/ or jawood.

I cannot choose, all are very good here on simtropolis. All BATters are the best because they help people continue playing Sim City.

I will say Dusktrooper and NDEX team is the best on simtropolis.

I think other like Peg, Oneil_1, superstar, and member of the BSC team is also great. Each of them has their own unique skills and style.

Wow, im shocked (and honoured) at how many times my name appeared in here, thanx guys.

Anyway, allthough i said Gascooker up there i think i will change that to say 'All STEX Contributers'. The major changes and improvements in this game come from all ofthe BAT, Lot and Mod ranks. FOr example where would the skyscrapers be without all the midrise to support them, and the low rise after them. Where would our transit networks be without all the mods and BATs. Its a pleaure working with so many talented artists.

Wow...so many great names already mentioned...

 

It is hard to pick, but I have to echo what has been said...Pegasus, SimGoober, BarbyW, SOMY, NOB, and sooooooo many others.  I could write this list forever, but I think I would probably die of starvation first!

 

Nobody has really seemed to mention any of the newcomers though... there are definitely some up-and-comers starting to hit the STEX that are sure to be classics soon enough as well!

For my two cents, their all pretty awesome.  Your favorite will probably depend on who builds the type and style of bats that you want in the kind of cities your building.  I build a lot of rural and small town stuff so, for example, BarbyW is one of three or four batters that is high on my list.  If I was forced to pick just one batter, and that was the only batter whose creations I could use along with the stock Maxis lots, then it would have to be SimGoober.  He has consistently turned out a very-high quality of work over a long period of time.  In my humble opinion he has reached a level of excellence in batting that all aspire to but few achieve.  He's not alone up there but it is a very small group.

Wow - picking one is tough. There are so many different styles, specialties and strong points and I hate to think about the STEX without the contributions of any of the individuals mentioned so far.

Of course Pegasus and all the folks associated with BSC and NDEX are the cornerstones of this particular art form but I'd like to recognize a few that haven't been mentioned yet but who are favorites in my plugins folder:

 

- Vanderaap - created virtually an entire Amsterdam tileset with details that I'm still discovering in-game and apparently hasn't been heard from since.

 

- Xannepan - for his marvelous Paris buildings. What's really incredible is he just BATs - doesn't even play the game.

 

- Prepo - Quality over quantity but every single one is a real gem.

 

- Donmiguel - Sort of gritty and unglamorous but very realistic NY commercial and residential lots

I actually have no favourites, there are just to many good BATters, but there are quite some that deserves to be named:

Porkissimo, vanderaap, swi21 and of course Simgoober.

too hard to pick just 1 batter  (even Simgoober or Vlak, Barbyw or EQ)...the best thing about ST and the STEX...is the amount of buildings made by many different batter, doing so many in all different directions...large or small collections

 

variaty on the STEX, and all of them together, even if it's Vlak or someone whom just made their first lot, is what make ST so great

 

gamers are always happy with anyone whom takes the time  and trouble to make a lot/bat for the betterment of ours games  (thanks guys...all of you)

It's difficult to choose. There are so many talented people here. Overall, I'd probably say Gascooker as his BATs are so realistic and fill a lot of gaps...howevee, honourable mentions go to Frogface, Simgoober, Ill Tonkso, FosterK, Superstar, StephenHH, RP2005, 6Underground and FranzFerdinand.

Far and away, the NDEX team (esp. Dusk_Trooper) and Pegasus are my favorites. There's so many others to that I could mention, but I'll just keep this short.

My favourites would be a tie between Gascooker and SimGoober,

Man that is a tough question, each batter has his/her own style and what I look for depends on what I building. Peg definitely up there, love naval lots, simgoober with his stores/resturants, BarbyW and PMiller with the farm thing, many others too that release great BATs for us all, BSC, NDEX, JBM, IllTonkso, and upcoming hope to see soon BATs by SimWings and others are awesome, how can one pick just one I don't know. I have every BAT I can find by those I mentioned, there is the BAt who makes all those resturants, name slips my mind, I love those, friendlys, chic fil a, arbys, LJS/Pizzahut express and that list goes on. guess you get he idea.
