I am the second owner of this thread. Me and Jacksunny here will be setting this up as he said. We got the idea when we were wondering what the record on the live chat was and decided to try breack it.

We broke the record recently with a bit more of 90 users (can't remember the exact figures) and this was only a year ago to attempt this again; the communty hasn't grown that much since then.

And BTW, this happened around 1:00-2:00 GMT+1 if I remember well, which was a good time in the US to make sure that the maximum of possible users are connected (the US is the country with most simtropolians by far). 1400 GMT means 9:00 in the morning in the US east coast. I would have serious doubts to wake up that early in Saturday morning, some North American users would think the same...

If we get more people by changing the time we will certainly do that. I will need to check with Jacksunny first but it should be OK.

We might Be changing the time of the Live chat due to more users being on that site at the time. If there is a new time It is likely to 4:00pm GMT. I will tell you if we Change it

The Thing is if we do it later were likely to get loads. eg. Theres 20 people on at the moment. So i think 2 hours earlier there wont be much difference. So 7 pm GMT

We can't do it too late though. There are some users on ST that live in Japan and this time might be too late for some of them.

If you're worried about times, you should pick the same time as the last attempt. It worked form both the AUS/NZ crowd (where it was a Sunday morning) and the US/CAN guys (who got a Saturday evening).

I think it was about 1/2 AM GMT. Thats the reason. I live in england and it would be bit strange if the 2nd creator of the idea didnt turn up.
