Anyway, the Mac-friendly download for RTMT v3.5 is available on the SC4D LEX here.

All of Gascooker prop files have been replaced by a single file called BSC MEGA Props Gascooker Vol01 this is available on the LEX (remember you need to have an account at the LEX to see the download link) here;

I'm on the RTMT Team, all the links were correct when we released the last update, as I went thru the readme and downloaded everything as a check, so the STEX changes seem to have happened after this, I'll check the rest of the links (in the next couple of days) and make sure nothing else has changed re dependencies

Well so i am running OSX and was wondering how RTMT works, or at least how to make it work? i have downloaded several RTMT files, placed them in my plug-ins folder, yet no reaction.  Any suggestions?

Have you read the instructions? Complex programs like RTMT require more than just placing the files in your plugins folder. If there are brown boxes, you will need to download additional models (links in readme) to make it work. As I am a Windows PC user, I don't know much about Mac OSX. Some custom content doesn't work on Mac computers.

You might want to give more detail about what you are trying to do and what is not working.

Just out of curiosity - are there plans to have RTMT stops on any of the NWM networks?

Definitely! There are plans for RTMT stations for all of the NWM networks. I've been busy with the latest NAM release for quite a while, but that's finishing up, so work on RTMT should be ramping up again soon. However, there are a number of high-priority tasks to be done before the NWM, so those stations won't be appearing before later this year.

You could also try replacing the items in your Props subfolder individually, until you find which one is causing the brown boxes.

Also, you could install the RTMT Add-On Pack V3.60 (which is highly recommended anyway, as it fixes some important bugs); this addon pack includes some of the models that were formerly dependencies in RTMT v3.50 (permission of the authors was obtained).  In turn, it adds no new dependencies of its own.

For future questions or comments about RTMT, there's the Road Top Mass Transit Development/Support ThreadThis thread also contains answers to many past questions people have had about RTMT.

If I were you I'd download a mod that replaces brown boxes with small green and red things, which only cover what you don't have. These allow you to see what you need. I downloaded a road top mass transit (not sure which pack) and had the same problem -turns out the signs on top of the shelters were misssing.

Hello everybody!

A time ago I downloaded the "Road-Top Mass-Transit v3,50" then I read the 'read me' and downloaded all the

dependencies mentioned. The problem is that I get the "brown boxes" anyway! I have probably missed something but I don't know what...(?)

I get about 3 boxes for each station I try to build.

Merged from General Discussion.

Quick question.

I recently downloaded the T-RAM Station set from the STEX. I can't seem to get them to show up in game, I have reinstalled them many times. I have also reinstalled the RTMT V.3 and the V.3.6 update many times too. All to no avail. I don't really quite understand it, any suggestions?

Thanks!

Yes I have tried both rail menus, and an empty city. Can't get them to show up anywhere.

Could you please list the contents of your main RTMTV3 folder? The detailed form of the listing would be very helpful. Also, is this folder directly under your Plugins folder, and if not, where is it?

would you mind PMing me your e-mail address? I have screenshots of all the folders in my RTMT directory. For some reason I can't get the links to work here to upload the photos here.

Would be a huge help if you could figure this out, I have tried everything I know.

Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier - my whole email system was down over the weekend, so I was essentially getting no email from anyone.  So giving you my email address wouldn't have helped.

However, the link you supplied provides all the necessary information.  The problem is that you are missing a number of files.  In your Stations folder, you are missing RTMT_Lots_T-RAM.dat; this is a crucial file, and explains why you don't get the stations in your menus.  You are also missing RTMT_Road_Textures_Euro.dat from this folder.  Although it has "Euro" in its name, that's the only texture that currently exists for this network, so this file is necessary.

In your main RTMT folder, you have a couple of Stations files that end in "Standard.dat".  These are obsolete files, and need to be removed.  Currently, they are overriding the High capacity settings for your main RTMT stations.  If you want to make any of your existing RTMT stations use the higher capacities, you will have to demolish and replop them.

Once you make these changes, everything should work fine.

I'm sorry; I got the name on that file wrong.  It's RTMT_Lots_T-RAM_Euro.dat.  This is still in addition to RTMT_Road_Textures_Euro.dat, which you also need.

I have just updated the Readme file for this download to make the installation instructions a bit clearer for future users.

Ok, some success, more issues. I now have the Tram on Road, Tram in Road, and Avenue GLR Stations. One question I have is, are we supposed to have an individual station for each model file, i.e. for each station shelter is there supposed to be an individual station? For the tram in and tram on road only one model is working and its the small square blue one.

For avenue, I am having some very odd issues. I sent a picture to explain it to you. Basically the preview I get before I plop it is what I want (this is also the shelter I want to use for the in road trams). But when I plop it a different one shows up, and you can still see the one that I want underneath it.

Very confusing. I have also posted new screenshots of my RTMT folder and its internal directories. Let me know if you see anything missing. Hopefully you have some suggestions on the shelter problem, I have to be honest this is quite maddening.

Thanks again for all your help!

The problem in both cases is that you have your Props folders fully populated.  Although the Models folders should always be fully populated, the Props folders should contain only those props that you actually use.  This is all described in complete detail in the RTMT Readme files.  49.gif

RTMT v3.70 will have an automated installer, reducing the likelihood of this type of problem occurring.  And RTMT v4.0 will have an automated prop installer, making things easier still.  However, it's going to be a while before it's ready.

The new add-on pack you posted to fix the problem I was previously having (all stations appeared at once when plopped) fixed what it was supposed to, but ever since then I only get one of two station props when I plop the lots:  the modern long station or the modern short station.  I like these, but I would rather have more variety of stations appear in my cities.  I followed your instructions for upgrading from the old add-on pack exactly, as far as I can tell.  Here are the files in my Props folder:

Also, I switched props for the Interim T-RAM stations from the historic tram station to the modern short station, and I dislike the side platforms sitting right on the car lanes, so I deleted GLRShelterModern_StripedPlatforms.SC4Model from the Models folder.  Unfortunately, the striped platforms are still there in-game.  But I'm unsure what deleting this file does exactly:  does it remove the stripes from the side platforms and nothing else, or does it remove the side platforms entirely?  If it leaves the platforms in the model and just removes the stripes, I'd rather use a different station prop.

We are continuing to look into this, and at this point it appears to be a bug deep inside RTMT. There is going to be an update to the RTMT Add-On Pack V3.60 in the reasonably near future (more about that soon), and the fix should be present in that update.

I have a question about the install. It asks "Select your NAM/CAM Capacity configration". I have the NAM May 2010, but I never chose between "standard", "2x", "5x" or "radical NAM", so I have no clue which option to select there.

Those were various NAM options available when RTMT was developed. And you're correct, they are no longer part of NAM. When installing RTMT, it really doesn't matter which option you choose (I usually go with "Standard") because when you install the RTMT upgrades (3.51 or 3.60) you will be replacing those files anyway.
