It is really nice I love the care in details you are putting, however, if what you showed was a z5 zoom your bus stop model is over scaled...

Use Maxis flora, or SG MEGA Props vol 1 flora if you want to toss in a dependancy.

If you do model flora there are tutorials out there, its usually green triangular polygons(leaves) on branches with colored triangular polygons(flowers) arranged together. If you want to be like CP(his flora are the best), model the ENTIRE plant + real flora.

Doesn't look like overscaled to me unless you want to compare them with RTMT bus stops. The Maxis bus stop is seriously overscaled, never use that as a scale.

I think your bus stop is looking fine! You might try desaturating that red bench a little, though. It catches the eye a bit too much IMO. Also it looks like the entire lot is occupied by your model, is that right?

T Wrecks thanks for the feedback, i will desaturate the bench also the model is the entire lot.

I would use a simple simple texture as a lot rather that a model, it fits better on hills and can be changed to fit different city styles. Other thatn that ( and TWrecks advice) it's looking pretty cool ;)

Yup, I agree with MTT9 - the points he makes are precisely the reason why I asked.

I'd like to add that (g)max treats shadows in a different way than the game engine. This becomes visible when part of the shadow falls on BATted ground and the other part on lots. In this case, you can see how the shadow cast by your bus stop doesn't continue seamlessly next to the lot. There's a visible distortion.

It's not a biggie, and sometimes there's just no way around it. However, in this case I think using a lot texture is simply a better alternative. It will also decrease the file size.

It may also be worth a thought to render all the objects on the lot (shelter, sign, vending machine, bench) separately so that you can use the shelter as main building and the ticket vending machine, the bench, and the sign as props. This will make the lot design more flexible.

The last point I'd like to raise is that the little grass patch behind the shelter effectively cuts off access to the bus shelter from the back, pretty much in the same way as on the Maxis bus stop. Now this is not a good thing or a bad thing in itself, it's just the question if you really want that. Either way is fine with me, and I think the irregular footprint of that grass patch is a nice little break from the grid. Are you planning to add some flora to it?

It looks like the wooden bench is too big? I know you shouldn't ever use Maxis buildings as a good scale and model everything to RL size but it looks as big as some of the small houses in the pic.

Other than that and whats already been mentioned you are on the right track, maybe desaturate the bench just a little more :)

Lovin' the bus stops, especially the uppermost left and lowermost right ones!! That's not to say the other aren't good, cause they really are great. They very modern, imo; we need some of your bus stops. :)

My favourite is probably the middle one to the right, but I like them all. I only wish we had an old-looking bus stop of similar quality that would look great in cities of the 1920's-1950's!

Is that pavement area at the top of the image part of the lot? If so, have you considered putting some fountains, or other urban props there? :)

Well, since it's a really large bus stop (more like a bus hub), I think some kind of building with waiting room, ticket counters, toilets, a snack bar / café or two wouldn't be a bad idea. Some larger bike shelters/racks also come to mind. Of course, this is not a must, just an idea.

    Pleas keep the original one!

That bench and that small grassy area is unique and beautifull it makes the lot special, maybe adding a small tree onto that weirdly shaped grassy area, or some bushes (anything that is not big ennuf to hide the details) would make it better :)

Too bad that you got ride of them, maybe if you like, bring back that wooden bench to the lot, it is a beautifull piece.
