43.gif That's some serious good stuff there!!! I really really liked the last mosaic! It is as of yo really look downward from a hill to the water, thats just... beautifull!

Also the new (Olympia?) terrain looks suberb too, as if it were made for your region 4.gif!

Hi Max, that last mosaic, the one before the last picture, just to say that when I saw the top, including the first trees, I was convinced that it was a real life photograph, I thought he want to show a place he likes or something, but when I scrolled down and realized it was a game shot! I was and still am flabbergasted!

I agree it's one of your best so far!

Take care

Wow Choco, you have made quite some nice update there. Green Depra is indeed greener than ever before. Even the tree trunks are green! Great that Cycledogg Mod!

Barton lakes looks great indeed. My PC is jamming so I cannot refer to the pics, darn!

The mosaics are very, VERY nice.

Great to hear that your exams went OK (at Darmok's AVR). Take care.

you make the most amazing mosaics i have ever seen. i'd have to say that my favorite is the one were it starts at the water and then goes up the hill to see the houses and such. the new terrain and the new street mod looks fantastic and makes this cj all the more greener looking. i can't wait to see what else you do!

Great updates! It was worth the wait. I agree with your decision of stripping down the CJ of some photoshops effect because I'm not a fan of eccessive photoshoping. The pictures speak form themselves.

Good evening to you all!  I am HUMBLED and HONOURED by so many gracious and wonderful replies, I read through them about five times!  I am so pleased by the response.

I will have a full update this weekend, but for now I have a special *mini* update.  Just one mosaic and the latest edition of the Times.

Oh, and this was made before I found out about the tragic end of Kinata due to computer problems so I offer my most sincere greavences to Magpieshooter.

    Anyway, enjoy!

    update-banner.jpg

    Update 40.5

The latest edition of the Green Depra Times:

    GDtimes-8_01.jpg

    GDtimes-8_02.jpg

And for todays images we'll take another little peak at Barton Lakes...

    city-intro.jpg

Even more houses have been springing up in Barton Lakes, but even more interestingly there has been a oon of Orange Depra citizens, and it has gotten large enough that a Orange Depra resteraunt has set up shop in the middle of some houses, it offers tradition Orange Depra Cuisine like tacos and nachos!  Its been a big hit with the locals, and many residents even come in for a mean from Green River and Fur Hills, it was even claimed that Lord Scarlet was seen eating there last weekend.

Sorry about there being only one mosaic, but this is only a half update!

    PERSONAL REPLIES

Mikeaut1 Thankyou very much for your gracious words!

Constantina Hey! Welcome to Green Depra, I’m glad you liked that mosaic.

Bat Thanks bat! Yep, that’s the Olympic terrain mod. I’m using a water mod called Auckland, and the beach mod is the one that comes with the Olympic terrain mod. See above for all those links that you wanted.

Vester_DK Thanks for the comment mate!

KoolSIM Hehe thanks! That’s one of the best compliments I can get!

    Rayden Wow, thankyou very much!

seemurray2 That means a lot to know, I always aim to be the greenest! Hehe, thanks.

Pixelrage Thanks, I love my trees, and its probably what I spend the most time on!

Simfan34 Thanks for that simply, but gracious compliment!

Topcliff Thanks for that compliment! Well, I do recycle and as you could probably imagine I’m a member of Greenpeace! Cheers!

Cityhawk Wow! 1800 posts! That’s fantastic, congrats! I don’t know really, I think it was a bit of a fluke and just turned out looking like that! But I’m glad you liked it. Cheers mate.

GaBoR Thankyou! I appreciate it. And well, I loved Chocotopia, but I’ll be honest with you, I ran out of ideas and gave up. But, I plan to return to it these holidays and see what I can do.

Tracker Hehe, consider it all yours! Ah, thankyou for that guide, it was very helpful and that problem has finally been solved! Cheers mate.

GMT Thanks! Glad you liked it!

fraggle7 Wow! Thankyou! That’s a great compliment and I’m really glad you enjoyed it so much. Cheers!

Jacqulina Hehe, thanks Jac, I appreciate it!

Leech10 Hehe, unfortunately no, they didn’t seem to exactly fit GD, but cool names though! Thanks.

Szarkoz Really? Thanks! That’s quite a compliment to say that you thought it was real. Cheers!

Yoman3 I think that’s the first time anyone has used the word phenomenal in this CJ! Thanks! Oh, and those are actually plopable canals, you can find the link at the top of this page.

Cjah Those gracious words mean a lot coming from you mate! Cheers.

    baller23 Thanks for the comment!

mattb325 Hehe, thanks! I’m glad you liked it, and I was trying to get it as contrasted as I possibly could. Interesting, I never thought of that water as sky, but that could almost work!

Threestooges Thanks for the words mate! I haven’t changed actually, but you’re right, it’s the terrains mod and its built in beach mod that make it look very different, better I think. I’m glad that you liked the same mosaic I do! Shows that its justified! Cheers mate.

Usnaguy Thanks, glad you liked it!

PhatHead Thankyou for stopping by Phat, and for your great words. Cheers.

Owenluby Haha! Green and scrumptious eh? Cheers!

jasperdeman.nl Ah, thanks, I was quite proud of that mosaic and its good to know other people like it. Yep, that’s the Olympia mod, it fits in well doesn’t it.

halo_lover Thanks, I like to try to blend the green with the city, Its something that’s not done enough I think. Cheers.

Darmok Haha! That is a huge compliment, I think we all strive to achieve realism, and its great to know for a second you were convinced! I was pretty damn proud of that shot actually! I’ve started making a document like you suggested, and once I have enough names I might start your system. Thanks mate!

CDI_spy Hah! Thanks mate. You have been with me for this long ride, and its thanks to the people like you that I’ve got this far. Hehe, I love your smilies mate, tis an honour! Its great to know I can still impress!

Alfred.Jones Wow, welcome to the CJ Alfred! I love it when someone new comes along and reads through GD. I am very honoured and glad you liked it, especially the riots. I hope to see you pop by again. Cheers!

Nik-nik Thanks mate! Haha, yeah, the new trees are green all over! I’m glad you liked the mosaics. Oh yeah, they went great (much better than I thought!) I got straight A’s and two A+’s in Art and Drama. I missed simcity, but it was almost worth it for the result… almost! Heh.

kant01 Thanks! I’m glad you liked them. Cheers.

Collgab Thanks for popping by! I’m glad you liked it, and thankyou for such gracious comment! Cheers.

Goin2Chicago Thanks, that was my personal favourite mosaic too! Thanks, I hope I don’t disappoint. Cheers mate.

Cowcorn I agree, I think it got too much, I didn’t like the bars and stuff. I like having just the text and the seal. Cheers.

    Cheers, choco.

    Great update my friend. I usually don't ask for links, rather find them myself, like a chalenge, but this time I need some help;

That two houses on the top left corner, can you indentify them for me?

Thx, and I'm looking forward for your next great update. 2.gif

EDIT: Picture taken away and many thanks for the link. 2.gif

really beautiful update! I love the way the railroad goes from have a sheer cliff on one side to being in a sort of valley - that looks so nice and natural! great mosaics.

btw, those lighter green trees mixed in are cycledogg's olive trees, right? I was just wondering if you had those in your flora god mode or if you plopped them on a lot.

    again, great job!

Bat  No problem, and glad you liked it!  And yeah, I think they can be!

Rayden  Thanks mate!  Those are UK suburbia Packs by Gascooker.  Enjoy!  Oh, and do you think you could remove that image now, just so the thread is less cluttered.  Cheers!

gerAndi Thanks!  And welcome to the CJ!

kant01 Thanks for the comment, I'm glad you liked it!  I think what you're talking about is in Cycledogg Randomwoods by Metasmurf.

Very nice job on the newspaper, I really like the texture pattern you use to imitiate the paper. I must say that Green Depra is a bit cold, but I suppose as you're Australian it's also winter there. 2.gif

I also like the mosaic, it's just another Green Depra classic!

    Hey CM my good friend.

I love your mosaics. One question.  It looks like your using Cycledoggs Olympic terrain mod, correct?

Whichever one it is can you get snowcapped mountains with it?

    Just curious.

That was one splendid (not Splenda, the artificial, 600x more sweet than pure sugar cane crap) update, and I can't wait for more! And I knew you were an environmentalist in some fashion, but I never went so far as GreenPeace! I was even thinking of getting my first kid's car (15 now, 16 in 7 months), which was a Prius! Good show, man! TopCliff
