Does anyone have any desire for more supertalls?
quote>

Absolutely! Although, while I think this building would look fantastic in black, it seems that black (or some variation) is the dominant color for most of the super tall structures that have been made so far, with blue a close second.

Maybe a reddish or gold color would be nice?19.gif

A desire for supertalls?  YES!  4.gif  JTP, I love that latest screenshot you posted with the slightly-varying blue hues ... it looks so great.  I also think the external-mount antenna idea is a very good one.

We can always use more supertalls (says the guy who is trying to make a region with small cities21.gif)

Here is a list fo supertalls.  A supertall is a building with more than 80 storeys, or more than 350m in height (from what I've read) There are 21 Supertalls built or underconstruction, 19 excluding Obseration Decks. I'm not sure about the definition, though. It could be off, that's just what I've read somewhere..

    thanks everybody!

vid, supertall doesn't have to mean superugly! lol

external-mount antenna? you mean like this?

    http://www.emporis.com/en/il/im/?id=231935

masher, this building wouldn't look too bad gray actually...

thanks Fox for the response! also the suggestion, but what if i want to make city gate at a later on? i love that building. and i want it's real name to be available if i do lol.

    bob, what's a hawksbane?

BananaRepublic, this will be released when im done with it, within a week maybe?

thanks geoff! i'll see what i can do blackwize, im going to se if i can get it to look like Seafirst tower in Seattle, very dark blue, almost black

EchoOfGecko, reddish or gold? not red! but gold does sound interesting, i would need ultra reflective gold to make it look right though, and that might be hard to achieve.

33.gifWhat about a translucent black? With Aluminium  tops for each step29.gif
Anyway...I guess the stick is ok where it is cuz it wouldn't look better if you put it atached to the building

masher, translucent black? i think i will go with something dark, and the caps are metal, just not that shiny yet lol

DT, you have discovered my inspiration for this building! although u can see that they look totally different comparing the buildings as a whole 3.gif

mcarch, i agree, Moscow, has lots of really cool buildings in the works!

BananaRepublic, since this supertall building is making such a hit, im sure we'll be making more 19.gif

Wow, that is looking mighty nice -- I love how you have the spire along the side of the building like that ... what if you tried two spires .. but one ending at a different length then the other ... maybe a tad bit shorter. Either way, you seem to know what you're doing, so keep up the great work.

vid... the reason I don't include links or pictures of the original anymore is because every time someone points out something different between my version and the original version I want to choke them to death.  Yeah, maybe I have some aggression issues, but, that's just the way I feel.  People need to understand that I am quite clear on what things I have omitted or changed, and don't need people jumping all over my back for it.

queetz, right now it can fit on a 6x2 lot, but im sure i'll release it in a 6x3 too.
    quote>

Just a quick question....isn't 6x2 a little narrow for a building of that size and height? Just checking as I am so looking forward to this building.. 10.gif

I love how PDA releases these great buildings, with only little fanfare, and no taunting beforehand. It seems so unassuming. It's a good quality to have 19.gif

jt, i liked the building with the antenna on the roof, i think the attatched one detracts from the buildings' great shape 33.gif

mcarch, DT, Tuna, vid, subedei, ravens31, thank you guys!
i have decided on One International Trade Center

queetz, this building is very narrow, i said this can fit on a 2x6 lot, but it would be very close, so for more realistic purposes and cus it would just look better on a 6x3 lot, (im guessin since i havn't rendered this yet)

drewz15, thanks! PDA would never taunt! haha. and i am starting to agree with you drew about the spire, i put it back on the building, because it looks more natural there, i will do something like the complex federation building for my next project, or one after , i don't know, but i do like the look still! and it will make it into one of my buildings.

geoff, you crack me up sometimes, but very good point!

i am doing nightlights now, i'll post pics when i have the previews rendered 19.gif

I think 6x3 is indeed more feasible as I couldn't imagine a building such as the Clark Tower with a 4x2 lot can be a supertall. But as you pointed out, its just a guestimate and we will never find out the lot dimensions until the building is actually rendered. This is gonna be so awesome as the centerpiece building for my CBD!!! 10.gif
