Hi to everybody! :whatevs: Just to know...would it be possible to have tunnels for RHW such as RHW6s?I know it's difficult to work on but it would be great!!! :thumb: Keep on working guys!Your creations are amazing!!In my last city I used your tram pieces and they look great...but now I'd like to put a freeeway in the city.... Can't wait for the new NAM 30 and RHW 5.0

Will there be any sort of RHW 6S bridge in the forthcoming release? Even just a basic one...and how about 6-C for that matter? As always just curious, and keep up the tremendous work.

There won't be any 6S/6C bridges in the next release. I have recently recovered a bunch of bridges choco did some time ago, but there are no 6S/6C bridges among them (though there are RHW-8S and 10S bridges). I haven't yet figured out how to package them, however.

As discussed in the RHW FAQ, particularly Item #8, unfortunately, it's beyond merely difficult work--it's impossible. The game is hardcoded to not allow even basic RHW tunnels, let alone a tunnel for an override network like the RHW-6S.

Thank you Tarkus!!I supposed it was very difficult to get RHW tunnels >.< Anyway another question...Is there the possibility of getting different heights for elevated MIS?(I mean for example the standard height elevated MIS,a higher MIS suitable for DDRHW and a lower MIS than the standard one)...It would be great to reproduce real complex highway intersection :???:

Multi-Level RHW is one of the long-term goals far beyond version 5.0 and it would clearly allow for multi-level interchanges. There is, however, ramp interfaces and height transitions planned for 5.0 that allow you to access the DDRHW's highest level, but they won't have any starters for taller MIS on them.

For reference, the "standard" height of 15 meters is L2, ground level is L0, and DDRHW's highest deck is L3 (22.5 meters).

Hey guys,

I have had the new RHW for about 15 minutes(Very very impressed with it), and I notice glitches on the short MIS Curves:

rhww.jpg

For some reason, they won't go away...

Also, the RHW pdf file said that there is a DDRHW4 bridge, but I can't find it in the RHW bridge menuNever mind, It is in the rail bridge menu.

so since there are no draggable starter pieces for level 3 MIS, does that mean its only used for the sole purpose of creating that entrance/exit to the DDRHW currently?

Exactly. (Didn't I just say that a few posts ago...? :whatevs: )

And Nathan, there was a file that was accidentally excluded from the RHW that's causing your problem. However, that same file is included in the NWM, so the viable solution would be to either download the NWM, or use Tarkus's patch he provided on SC4Devotion.

[ silly me, i spent 15 minutes trying to drag the MIS[LV3] piece, and then another 30 mintues looking for the appropiate starter piece for it]

Okay, I downloaded the patch, but I am just curious where I am to put it to fix the problem.

It really can go anywhere, as it's not overriding anything, though the RHW folder (Plugins\Network Addon Mod\Real Highway Mod) would probably be the best place.

I have 3 questions since this is my first time using the RHW. I apologize if they have been answered before.

1. RHW flups. there is a RHW2 starter piece it says rotate for more ramps but i only get the RHW2. is that the only one or am i missing something? i am looking for RHWY6S or C if possible.

2. when i drag DDRHW over owr3. it changes it back to owr2. is there a puzzle piece for this?

3. Is there transitions from 6s or 6c to Maxis highway? this one is not so important because i just put an ave stub on the maxis highway and connect with a reduced rhw4.

The last two questions are mainly because i have an existing big city where i am trying to retrofit the RHW into it with a pretty big interchange and a ddrhw going through the densely populated area. so existing NWM roads like the owr 3 are hard to avoid with the DDRHW. i have made progress but i am thinking i might have to use this mod on a new city.

thanks for all of your work nam team!

1. There's just the RHW-2 FLUP entrance at the moment, but if you visit SC4Devotion, that might change in the future. https://www.sc4devotion.com/forums/index.php?topic=13715.0

2. DDRHW-NWM crossings are currently unsupported.

3. There's no 6S/6C to Maxis Highway transition. Many people asked for this, and even fewer have tried to make one. The two main hurdles are the models and scaling: The MHW models are super-complicated and the MHW itself is underscale. You'd essentially be transitioning from a realistically-scaled flat-model network to an underscaled 3D model network, and it wouldn't be that smooth.

When they'll be added is yet to be determined, but the RHW-related ones would be part of the RHW (hence the "rotate for more" thing), the NWM-related ones would be part of the NWM, and the ones involving the default networks (AVE-4, OWR-2, MAVE-2/Road) would be part of the NAM's FLUP menu.

It's just a matter of attaching the props onto a designated puzzle piece, times however many networks there are. Then again, you need to model out the prop first.

I may have asked this before but is there OWR-1 to MIS transition? And a pic of it?

There is no OWR-1-to-MIS transition (nor a pic of it) at this time. It's tentatively planned to be part of the next NWM release (along with OWR-4-to-RHW-8S and OWR-5-to-RHW-10S), however, though we've not yet begun development on it.

Ganaram DI told me that if you line up the MIS starter piece and OWR-1 starter piece it works fine UDI and all!

Well, that's just a quick and dirty workaround, which is like trying to slam together two non-fitting sky pieces from a jigsaw puzzle together (Puzzle-Slamming,... Hmm... Glad to hear it works, though.). A proper transition's gonna be added inevitably, because it's more convenient to create and it looks better.

Plus, certain RHW-NWM transitions double as starters; Imagine dragging RHW from an OWR-1 and having it immediately turn into MIS WITHOUT any sort of proper starter...

Would it be possible to tell a tile to send the traffic to another tile that is not adjacent? if it is then u can have a tunnel or transporter or summa?

Nya, I hate to say it, but I think it's you! :P Well, you're textures, actually. It looks like you have either an old texture pack or a texture mod that isn't compatible with the new RHW pieces that were just developed. If you have the mod for the wider "Luxury Lane" conversion of the earlier RWH set, this would explain why.

My stuff works fine for me, and I just installed RWH 2.0 + NAM 30 over an unmodified RWH 1.1 + NAM 29

As Ronwe mentioned those are old textures you've got there from Version 4.0/4.1 (but not the ABEP Luxury Lanes--you'd see missing stripes there if that were the case). The installer for 5.0 was set up to automatically delete any 4.0/4.1 files . . . so they're likely in a different folder. (DatPacker user?)

It looks like you still have the old RHW v4.1 installed, since the majority of the textures ar V4Spec. Uninstall the old RHW version, or if you're not sure, uninstall the RHW completely and re-install it clean. That should get rid of your problem.

Just a quick note about the RHW: the RHW-8S type D2 ramp appears to be mis-labeled between entrance and exit (at least, based on what the piece looks like).

I'm impressed with the quality overall! The things that I've seen so far are minor, and I'm happy to see a few small bug fixes being attached in threads like this.
