First off I'd like to say hooray for post-upgrade awkwardness :dead:

Second off I think it's interesting how the turnpike/beltway interchange turned out. It's different.

I look forward to seeing development pop up around all of it :thumb:

Nathanthemayor: Thanks! And for diagonal 6C just drag it out diagonally, 3 side by side.

    Benedict: Heh, yay!

CG: Oh hey! Long time no see! Thanks!

Archean: Thanks! And just lots of practice. Over 2 years of it. :P

Frdm: Cuz I didn't tell you about it? My bad :P And you will soon!

Kj: Pfft, that's half the fun! And yeah, throwing a little curveball there. And there will be soon!

Algis: Thanks! And you're about to see another one! :P

    Roger: Thanks!

DC: Thanks! Roadgeek CJ must be roadgeek :P

DTP: Sexy everything! Yay! Thanks Connor, and wait no further!

All images are still clickable for full size in a new tab.

    Region shots as usual.

    aydina_2011_03_06_focus.png

    And the map

    aydina_map_2011_03_06.png

So we have Jennings Rd here... the curving road above H24 there.

    u6_sandrunpre00.jpg

    We prime the new alignment

    u6_sandrun-01.jpg

    Lay down some asphalt

    u6_sandrun00.jpg

    Lay some more

    u6_sandrun01.jpg

And finally pave it all over. The old alignment is still connected to the new

    u6_sandrun02.jpg

But no longer so! The remaining bit is now named Olde Jennings Rd.

    u6_sandrun03.jpg

    And the finished result!

Are you using automata generators? :O I could never get that much traffic on my highways.

I love how you're keeping the avenues separated from the housing neighborhoods. Good realistic touch. And that region-view of the city is UGH. :D Me wanty!

I always get so jealous when I look at your journal. Incredible road layout and all the right textures and road pieces, and then excellently made signs. How do you get all the right font and designs for the signs?

By exit 34 eh? Very nice. I think some construction lots would have added a nice touch.

I will definitely have to keep that highway as I continue to work on my map which I'll probably make into a CJ soon (coincidentally we picked the same map, but as long as you don't see it as a problem...) :whatevs:

    Short term replies:

    @All: Thanks!

    Ben: Again? Yay! :D

    Kenny: Yup!

Packers: Fonts and stuff are from the Roadgeek font set, design based off of US, but heavily modified to make it "mine" while still making sense (ie, the signs arent bright pink). That and practice is about it.

Nathan: Yup, its extinct. No worries!

Archy: Nope, no traffic generators :D Just a modified automata simulator that allows better representation of traffic volumes. Great for cities and suburbs but overpopulates rural places too much...

Just a teaser to tide all of you over till I get a full update done...

Ok evidently the bottom half of this picture is towards the ocean and the top the port? If not you've got your port markers around the wrong way :P

Reminds me a bit of the Dawesville cut down south. Looks good :D

Frdm: Yup, that's right! (that I got the buoys right that is :P) Thanks!

Algis: Sorry! No port, just more wall. But I will show Stow Harbour sometime...

Cacks: It helps a tad, but seeing as I haven't been able to be in there for a while, not really :P Thanks though! And see above :P

Nathan: It takes a little work, and a little practice, but with those two in hand you can do whatever I can do. Save for unreleased stuff. Which surprisingly, none of the seawall was built with unreleased content!

    Aaron: Thanks!

First off... as usual... region shot! You'll notice information in the top left, and big green borders and stuff like that.

    LINKY

Aydina is separated into 4 divisions, called Saibastia (literally "faces"). They are named and translated as shown in the information area on the map. Individually, their name is their motto, and together, they form Aydina's motto.

Anyways, to pick up from that teaser... we'll be moving east to west in these pics.
