veryConfused commented on maskedbandit101's City Journal Entry in Smeethe County
Slope mods make the land more smooth under your roads, rail, etc. But they can sometimes be harder to build with. It adds a larger dimension to civil engineering to the game, and can make your city look even more realistic. P.S. I found you. -
To get by the walls, you either have to drive onto the tram tracks or go straight into the wall. I give it a -12/10 for that reason.

BuggUla, do you think you could have put another picture in there to at least try to make it convincing. I've seen all those before.

Where the streets have silly names
veryConfused replied to Duke87's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
A few interesting ones from eastern Nebraska (Mostly Omaha). Omaha: 1. Saddle Creek Road - not the weirdest name since it runs through a dry creek bed, but it turns back to a creek every time it rains. 2. Aksarben Drive - I'm going to let you guys figure this one out. Reading backwards may help. 3. Cornhusker St. - I don't feel I need to explain this one 4. The intersection of Giles Rd. and Harrison St. - Nothing really funny about this one, except for the fact that if you measure exactly one mile south of the intersection you will find yourself on Giles Rd. Lincoln: 5. East South Street - And of course West South Street to go along with it. The name also changes at First Street. 6. A-Y Street - Nothing funny except for the simple fact they forgot the letter Z. Other: 7. Abbott Drive - Leaving Eppley Airport toward downtown Omaha of which one sign you will encounter is now entering Iowa. What makes it even weirder is that Eppley Airport is in Omaha -
But there's a bo... um, "bonus" in that "egg". Yes, a "bonus" indeed.

Thank you for showing me another bug I can squish. Maybe I should throw some "rotten eggs" at your castle to thank you.

Stex Universal Converter [ and stock exchange?]
veryConfused replied to iowndiscti's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
I don't see why not to change the rate of the Simoleon. I do have to say however that if the Simoleon would be the universal currency, some CJs would use the Simoleon as their base currency. That way, it would make more sense to have it fluctuate. I would recommend using the math features in Excel to do the calculations for you. I would think the best way of looking at it would just be to look at the new CJ posts from the previous week and base the fluctuations on it. -

Why not just compare it to the Simoleon. That's a never changing amount and everyone can compare it easily too. -
I'm liking the Fort Wirt coin. It's very majestic and an extraordinary picture for a coin.

I see you built that island in your likeness. Now I can just swat the picture and pretend it's you.

The cheat box in SC4 is ctrl+x. What you are seeing from the ctrl+shift+c are elevation lines (if I'm remembering right).

I will definitely have to keep that highway as I continue to work on my map which I'll probably make into a CJ soon (coincidentally we picked the same map, but as long as you don't see it as a problem...)

I think I might have found an error with the updated stex, as you can't access the Cities XL files. I don't have CXL, but for those who do, I'm sure they would like access to their downloads.
