Or your dashboard.

5.58 here.

To search for the ideal city today is useless. For all cities are different. Each one has its own spirit, its own problems, and its own pattern of life. As long as the city lives, these aspects continue to change. Thus to look for the ideal city is not only a waste of time but may be seriously detrimental. In fact, the concept is obsolete; there is no such thing.

3.66 for me. I think it's been as high as 3.89 but don't quote me on that.

    LOL, Duke Nukem!

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

    Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6:34
"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

It's like, only one of the most classically epic first person shooters ever! Right up there with Doom, which I also can now work again! Hooray for DOSBox!

@Duke, what's JonoF's port? It's not something you'd have to pay for, is it? Cuz I'm just using the discs my dad would have bought back in the 90s.

And Larks, I'm actually surprised by that.

Duke nukem was the best first person shooter i think i ever played. It was original, funny, and downright awesome for a game of its day. And yes. I have been on it today 3.gif

Seeing as I'm telling you about it on MSN, I wont explain it anymore then if someone else wants to describe it here.

Till then, Dooms 1 and 2 are now installed on my computer! Yay! Wolfenstein next, then maybe...not sure yet...

    JFDuke3D.

Essentially, it's a port of the game's Build engine which allows you to run it in modern Windows. Perfectly legal, as it does not contain the actual game data (you'll need to import the .GRP file off the CD). And the game's source code was released years ago (in fact, that enabled this) so there's no illicit cracking, either.

What I don't know is whether or not it works with the original game (which is what you appear to have). It may be Atomic Edition only.

For anyone who doesn't have the game, you can download it for 5.99 USD (click the "buy it!" link at the upper right)

It is also available on Xbox Live Arcade.

I do also have Atomic Edition, although I didn't install that because when I put it into my computer it brought it up in iTunes... I should go mess with that again. *messes with* Oh, cool..so I figured it out, nevermind. Had to right click on it and press open in the My Computer screen.

I figure I might as well just stick with the DOSBox thing, as long as I already have it. Not to mention that the regular game came with Duke 1 and 2 on the disc as well, although I don't think I'll actually play those...and well, the Wolfenstein-Doom-Quake games need the DOS Box too. There was also something on the page about it on how to create a desktop shortcut for a game that runs through DOSBox, I'll probably go look into that too.

But otherwise that JonoF's port woulda been fine...do you use it? That is, if you still have Duke Nukem.

Actually, I'm really glad you posted that. Atomic Edition (unlike every other game) demands I have the disk in, but doesn't realize that the disk is in. So I think I'll be using that port...unless I did something wrong on the DOSBox....I'll mess aroudn with it for a bit... *rambles*

2274 - I just edited my first MP3 file (successfully). I took a 6 minutes song, removed all but one good verse (the only good verse), now that song is 1 minute long.

Duke 1 is pretty much skippable unless you have a thing for bad ancient bleep-bloopy DOS games. Duke Nukem II, on the other hand, is an amazing game and you really should try it out.
