1984 Audi 4000 Quattro

Yet another project car for $900 that I didn't buy. This time, however, I have only myself to be mad at. Can't believe I second guessed myself...

I feel like Y is the worst letter. About 4 car names start with the letter y. Anyways...

I feel like "Z" is another terrible letter to work with since there are only two that I can think of that start with it. I get there are several Datsuns that use it as a suffix to their numbered models but that's kind of stretching it.

I vote that letters Q, X, Y and Z can be skipped if the user pleases. We've pretty much exhausted what very few model names begin with those letters.

Or we use them as 'wildcards', to post something off topic - accident pix, funny scenes, bikes, ships, planes, high speed trains a comic strip with vehucles, a picture of a famous constructor etc.

You can still license it as a regular car so it still fits the "cars" thread theme... :P

Ford marketing  asked a pulitzer prize winning poet to name this car - and so she made suggestions by letter. First one, then three, then ten. Problem was - after a while at Ford they had forgotten about the deal. One year later and a few weeks before the car was presented in 1957 they noted their mistake. By this time they had accumulated about 6000 different names.

So they wrote a letter to thank the poet and telling her - sorry - but the car will simply carry the name of Henry Fords son, Edsel.
