How many ST forum members does it take to change a light bulb?

I think everybody's forgotten some important folks:

- 3 people to claim credit for originally noticing the lightbulb problem

- 15 people to claim that there is no way the lightbulb is compatible with the lamp

- 35 people to disagree with those 15, sighting examples from the internet only quasi-related to this particular lightbulb

- 20 people to demand that Sylvania (manufacturer picked at random) release patch 2.1144.514.02-b to deal with the burning-out problem

- the same 35 people that disagreed with the compatibility problem also disagree with these 20 by claiming that no such problem exists

- 5 people wondering what lightbulbs are

- the same 5 people bump the thread at least once, now also wondering why we need lightbulbs to begin with

- at least 10 people post one-word replies like yeah or me too

- 1 person figures out the power cord was pulled from the socket and quietly plugs it back in

- the first 3 people claim credit for solving the lightbulb problem they pointed out to begin with.

EA has all rights concerning the lightbulb, if you want to replace it you'll need an expansion pack and numerous patches...

How to Change a Light Bulb

Identify the bulb-type that needs to be changed. Check whether it is a screw-in or bayonet type, and whether you have a new one in stock.
Note: Keep a torch handy. You may need it to change a bulb after dark.

1. Switch off the mains switch on the distribution board or electricity dispenser.
2. Switch off the light at the light switch or wall socket.
3. Note: If a lamp's bulb is to be changed, switch off the lamp switch and remove the plug from the wall socket.
4. Remove the faulty bulb. If the bulb is a bayonet type, insert it carefully into the light socket, and twist it gently until the bayonet pins slot into place. If the bulb is a screw-in type, insert it carefully into the light socket and turn it clock-wise until it sits firmly in the light socket.
5. Switch on the mains switch on the distribution board or electricity dispenser and then switch the light on.
6. Discard the old light bulb safely.

I suggest putting this in the Omnibus.
