    well, there are some issues to address first (one of them you can see in the end of this post) and after it, I'll probably make other for the same family. then I will release them all

    now, can you spot the one thing wrong right on this picture?

    Did I heard custom fundations?? I guess you are right.

    I just have one doubt, I will make two color variations. shall I do it on the base colors (blue or red) or on the plaster color (beige or grey)?

    You went far enough to make custom foundations? :O Wow that's great! They perfectly fit too!

    I think the variations for them would look better as beige or grey. That's just me personally though. :)

    Hahaha, and my vote would go for grey and beige instead of blue and red. It would be too easy if we all voted for the same, eh? :P

    ahah thank for the opinions.

    for those still a bit confused, what I mean is if the main building has a beige plaster color, the foundations will be beige, and grey if the main building plaster color is grey ;) it all about having two different foundations each a color, and not one foundations with two colors ^^

    Also, I think I'll mirror a pair of them, so it don't look so repetitive, specially on the roof

    EDIT:

    well mirroring them messed up the textures in ways you can't imagine and I can't solve... so I change some parts of the roofs to lessen the issue said above.

    as for the foundations, as a vote from majority, I made them beige and grey.

    EDIT: Just noticed what you said about mirroring it. Hmm, I guess I never tried mirroring something all ready textured. Redoing the UVW mapping didn't help in anyway?

    Ah, yes. I remember that the mirror tool in gmax is totally broken and unusable.

    IIRC, if you use the mirror from the button in the toolbar, it should be broken,on the other hand the other, the one that should be located in -tools - mirror should work...idk, but i recall that there should be a way to mirror things.

    Sgt Pepper: I tried to apply new maps but it doesn't help. I believe that the mirror tool messes up with the vertices in such way that even the UVW maps are messed up. I tried to reorientate the vertices but was unable to get it right though.

    T Wrecks: Yep, unfortunately it is useless on a advanced modled item. maybe if it was more raw, it could work. who knows. thank you ;)

    Francis90b: well, I tried. but it also does not work, all messed up, either way.

    In fact I like it! I mean, sure - it's bland, ugly and uninspiring as a building, but that's how many buildings are after all. And I'd say it's very good as a BAT. On the version with the open balcony to the left (upper half of the picture) the door frames are lit a bit too brightly IMO. Is that a spot or an omni you've used there?

    Otherwise, I think the roof texture may be the weak point here. A bit more variation, weathering and contrast may help.

    The shop windows (and generally the night lights) are absolutely mouth-watering, though - among the best gmax night lights I have seen.

    well both versions are the same, just "mirrored" (i.e. hand moving and rotating lol) and it's a Omni that is causing that effect there. I have to find a way to lessen that, does not look very nice. the roof texture is easily tackled :P

    and ya, I am kinda proud of those lights :P improving over those skills I said in my tut :P

    the ground floor light is a tinte too green IMHO, the rest is nice.

    For continuing improving your BATs, you need to switch to 3ds

    AFAIR, omnis don't really work too well, either. You might have to switch over to spot lights in order to fix light leak and attenuation problems, but I'm not sure.

    I think it looks great as it is, though I'd say the lights at the lobby are too bright. But I think the whole thing turned out very well. You should feel very proud. :)

    T Wrecks : well I didn't have to chance the omni to other light at all, just moved it 0,5m and the issue was solved :P Omnis require a lot of skills to be properly used, on that I give you reason ;)

    Girafe: right now I dont see much of deal moving to max. I have masted (and still improving) the lights, which was the only feature I miss on max :)
