City GONE

Hi there. With the release of the first CXL unlocker, I had noticed the limited edition maps. I have since created a magnificent city. I have installed v2 of the unlocker, and it appears my city is gone. Anyway to get this back?

I believe that unlocking the limited edition maps was considered a crack, because you would be getting free content for which buyers had paid extra.  Globexco didn't realize this when he first designed the modd.  In order to comply with the no piracy rule, he removed that feature in the second version of his modd.  That is possibly why your city is gone.  Sorry about that!

In version 1 I left inside a function that always return true (Limited Edition), while in version 2 I put the original one (returns true only if you have LE).

Your city is still there, in a folder, but you can't play again the map. Of course if you buy LE, you'll be able to play again (actually I'm not sure - I never tried it - but I think it's possible).

my city is also gone kind of, whenever i try to load into the city it crash's and when i put my mouse over the green circle it says "&soloinfo0" anyone know why?

does this happen with one specific city or any/all cities? are you sure it says &soloinfo0? that is definitely strange. what happens when you load the city without any mods? it may crash still - but for a different and understandable reason.

one specific city in fact my roxtellop journal here on simtropolis! when i loaded it without mods it crashed again i have no iddea why?

The reason you have lost your city without mods, Jesse Swiss, is that you have build modded content into your city. That means that whatever mods you took out of your game, there is still a building or two from those old mods that were in your cities, causing the game to not know what they are or what they look like when it tries to load the city, resulting in your city crashing when being loaded. I'm sorry, my friend, but you may need to re-install your old mods and delete all of the buildings from those mods in order for your city to load properly without the mods. Another reason is the question above. ( I don't really know If that applies to you.) As for the city name, you might want to check the citie's save file. If it is named weird like that, the re-name it. (I'm not entirely sure renameing will be a stable choice.) Good luck!

i had no mods ive ever deleted though always have had the same ones

It then might be a mod incompatibility issue such as one mod will not work with another or you have two versions of the same mod. Check your mods to make sure they are all compatible.

ive figured it out! i accidentally downloaded the old " root patch" from wyllmann and there was many stuff like linear that i used in my city. By the way is their a way to delete that city so i can make a city on that map once again?

Click on the green circle icon for your city, at the bottom of the new tab you have the play button, and next to it should be a trash can (I use this button alot)

no , whenever i click the green circle it crashs so i have to find a way to delete that city through folder itself or documents, i really love the map!
