Ok

I was browsing on Youtube until I came across a Japanese Version of Simcity or a variant, its called A-Train 9 and the publisher for the game is Artdink. The game contains trains which are mostly from Japan, most notable is the Yamanote Line E231-500 Series. The game has a lot of Japanese style buildings and it goes for the Railway Stations as well

I'm not sure if I can buy a game like this in New Zealand as the game is very interesting  as well

this looks very promising. If it IS a game, I hope it'll compete with SC4. Because, to be honest, SC4 is getting kinda old.

Maxis published the first A-Train game in the US in the 90s.

Ocram's Razor: Though "more things shouldn't be used than are necessary," they're just too fun to pass up! Expect many verbose arguments from me. I will try to write abstracts before or short summaries after from now on.

Words to live by:
"Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit... But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually..." 1 Corinthians 4-11

"Do not judge so that you will not be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you." Matthew 7:1-3

In the video, the Developer is showing the features of the game,to cut it short the game has more than Simcity for example you have a prospective view of the city you built in the game and you can view your city from a train, truck or bus

This is supposed to be like a Japanese Simutrans 3D.

I remember playing A-7 on the playstation 2 back in the day, it was an awesome game back then and I bet A-9 is an awesome game now. But I'm permanently attached to SC4.

All A-Train games are meant for the PC, some were also released on Play Stations. You can get it in the US but it will still be in Japanese and you will still have to pay transoceanic shipping.

There's an open-source version of A-Train floating around the Internet.

    http://freetrain.sourceforge.net/ (English version)

Unfortunately, it's NOT 3D and might remind you of SC2K. In fact, SC2K buildings have even managed to be imported into said games. See if you can spot any.

I used to have 'AIV Global: Evolution' on the PSOne, was an awesome game, but had to leave it to run overnight to make any serious money.

Just got a hold of A-Train 8... its pretty terrible tbh, has less features than the last A-Train game I played, but A-Train 9 looks slightly more promising. Hope it comes out in English sooner or later.

I remember the first A-Train from the 90s. Played it on one of those less popular systems, like Jaguar or 3DO or something.
