    So, and this is a beta of pedestrian slope stairs (only 1x1 lot at this moment):

    Looks like sims take a taxi, ride near the stairs and go up there to the railway station to go to work, huh :}

    At this moment all these lots olso woks like a bus stops. I thinking about remove this function from them. But may be not.. may be I better leave it, cause there is no need to place a busstop near to the pedestrian footway - one tile saved for another house :}

    I can make new intersections, including new highway intersections (stack, trumpet, etc).  If had a decent amount of skill with the BAT, anything that you folks could dream up, I'd probably be able to make.  Of course, I am not completely sure how far I can go before slamming into an exe wall.

    As for how they are placed, the road-over-rail overpass I'm working on is handled just like the current highway intersections are.  They can either be placed manually, or a pop-up will appear when you create an appropriate intersection.

    i was wondering, before any interest is lost on the underpasses, wouldn't it be possible to make the base texture on the terrain that covers the underpass transparent, so that the model could be seen through the terrain? if you load the el-rail to sub transition in the lot editor (called Utils4x1_LightRailSubway) you'll notice that in the part where the track goes underground, the base texture there is completely white and does not show up in-game, therefore allowing the model underneath to be seen. i was thinking it might be possible to do the same thing for the underpasses.

    The footpaths really look nice, and the stairs are great.

    I say leave the bus functions. Just put a little sign or bench and it will make sense.

    WHOA! So, you mean, if you drag a road far enough over a piece of rail, then the blue thing will come up, and you'll get the dialog!?! Cool! 9.gif

    Ok! I got monorail and elevated train tracks as a props! Thanks a lot for Sepsis =:}

    Alright, this will be my last post in this thread unless Marrast has anything that he needs from me.  I don't want to hijack the poor guy's thread.  I will be creating a new thread regarding the overpasses in the near future.  Please direct all your questions on them there.

    Those pedestrian paths and the stairs are amazing. I hope that you'll make them downloadable soon.
    And please leave the bus stop function on it. There are never enough bus stops in a city.

    Can some post a link that works for the Ave. Underpass as that I have tried to D/L it, and I cannot get it, also I cannot read Russian, enough to understand it

    marrast ive just downloaded your underpasses and tried them out and they are great i think!
    heres what my city looks like with your underpass
    /idealbb/files/random.jpg
    without it i'd have been fored to make a level crossing which here would be unrealistic but with the underpass im saved!
    im looking forward to more of your BAT stuff! and the final release of the underpass9.gif

    Having the same problem, tried clicking on stuff at the site but nothing seems like a download.

    Those underpasses look wonderful and I am looking forward to being able to use them in a city or 2. Thank You for making them.

    For those who were asking, I'll overview marrast's underpasses.

    They are fully tranportation functional. Sims will use them to commute by car, bus and train. Freight trucks and trains pass through.

    The only problem though, is because of a limitation in SimCity.

    You cannot fully cross two networks on a lot. This means that one or the other can't be FULLY functional. Train automata and UDI pass through, but Road automata, UDI, Emergency Dispatches will not pass through, although Dispatches don't realize that and try anyways.

    You tried your best with them marrast, and if Maxis had a little foresight/luck in that area, you would have made one of the biggest breakthrough a reality.

    About these overpasses... What do you think about road-road-overpasses or avenue-road-overpasses? Ain't that realistic? I think it looks great, for now it's only managable with levelling the terrain!
    PS.. I used the beta's, well done, marrast!!
