Haha, I was hoping that the Rangers wouldn't do so well against the Sox. However, now I hope the Rangers continue to do well and kick the Rays out of that wild card spot!

The Sox were able to shut out the Angels last night 6-0. That leaves the Sox with a 7-0 record against the Angels this season. Hopefully they can sweep this series too.

Next up will be Toronto this weekend. The Sox have dominated them this season as well. I have my fingers crossed for a playoff spot!

I'm not even thinking about the World series quite yet. Even the playoffs are still too far off to make guesses at (at least in the American league). It looks as though Texas will most likley take the slot for the western division, but the east and central divisions are all so close, things could change big time before October.

As far as the National league, I think it is very likely that San Diego will make the playoffs. However, the central and east divisions in the NL are also very close, so I'm not going to predict who will be in the playoffs quite yet.

The Sox also beat LA again last night, a perfect 9-0 record so far. Hopefully they can go for a season sweep over the Angels tonight.
