Well 2 away from champs

Looking ahead to Free Agentcy i hear there is mutrual intrest to bring Manny Ramirez to Canada. (John Farrel the new manager was the Red Sox pitching coach when Manny was there)

Yankees fired Dave Ireland it will be intresting to see who replaces him.

Dave Duncun the pitching coach of the St. Louis Cardnals signs a 2 year extention as does the Manager Tony La Russa.

Jose Gullian currently of the Giants has been caught reciveing HGH and was removed of the playoff roster and his career may be over due to an investagation by MLB.

Sandy Anderson is named GM of the mets. (Replacing Omar Minaya) Be nice to see Bobby Valantine return as the Mets manager after he left with former strike replacement player Benny Agbayani for the Chiba Lotte Marines of the NPB league.

Another replacement player Matt Herges retired and took a minor league job for Triple-A Kansas City a team in the LA Dodgers farm system.

I was rooting for SF myself but 5 games was kind of a rip off. Now I have to endure the many months until baseball returns. And what do I have to look forward to? Likely another losing season for the Bucs.

Still a very satisfactory season. wish i  would have had a 1000 to bet the rangers got to the WS.

had to have been at least  100 to 1 odds.

The only disappointment was their play in in the World Series , glad they got thier but you need to win these things when  you have the chance. not even close to a sure thing we will get thier again soon.

Jamie Moyer blew out his arm again in winter ball and may possibly retire.

Edgar Renteria decides not to retire.

And MLB.com has released the new offseason dates.

• November 7th - Free agents can negotiate with any team
• November 16th-17th - GM Meetings, Orlando, Florida
• November 23rd - Deadline for teams to offer arbitration to their own free agents
• November 30th - Deadline for players to accept or decline arbitration offers from their former teams
• December 2nd - Deadline for teams to tender contracts to arbitration eligible players
• December 6th-9th - Winter Meetings, Lake Buena Vista, Florida
• January 18th - Teams and players exchange salary arbitration figures

As i'm sure you all know the HOF class of 2011 is annoced on Jan 5th, i think now is a good time to start the debate.

Who do you thing should be inducted this year?

I'd like to see Jeff Bagwell and Alan Trammell make it, not sure if Biggio qualifys yet but he is a definate lock. Larry Walker is also a good choice, only Matt Stairs has hit more HRs then him as a Canadian.

B.J Surhoff is good but not sure if he is HOF good, same with the rock, I'd love to see the crimedog and Marquis Grissom cause i'm a braves fan, Tino and Juan-gon are good choices too. Lots of good names this year. Boone and Barry were excellent players for the reds. Lee Smith had the save record till Hoffman broke it. Bert Blyleven i believe has almost 300 wins. Edgar Martinez is Seattles 2nd best francise player ever behind Ken Griffy Jr. Only one i would overlook is Roberto Alomar, cause of his link to steriods.
