Funny you've noticed, I will delete it soon, after dealing with those traffic problems. 46.gif

Nice work on the interchange there Stef!! I've done a few of those, but the all the traffic lights just kill the realism for me so I deleted them. Can't wait to see more!

It's actually quite simple, although it doesn't work in flat maps. As you can see, the road passing goes underneath the bridge, so I had to dig a small 'tunnel'. Some maps, like the Wetlands are flat, so I tried to dig a tunnel, it gave the error: 'can't dig below water level' I though.

I might post some pictures in the Hints & Tips forum 2.gif

There is already one tutorial I noticed, but only without pictures 3.gif

Don't suppose you got that idea from another city journal ey? 2.gif Just a few tips, usually I use two separate avenues side by side (one going one way, the other going the other way; one way roads) so the intersection won't apply to all and the flow will be smoother. Also, use the bridge tool instead of the road tool, so the intersection marks will not be there.

Apart from that, looking pretty good.

I have a lot of, no doubt, user error issues trying to make my own interchanges. They look good though Stef.... and Asheroo - you need to write an article about how to do it for those of us not so.... highway making inclined haha. 4.gif

Thanks for the info Asheroo!, part of having this from another journal, I think you mean yours, absolutely not.

I've only looked in the Hints & Tips topic were I found this.

Part from that, in my other journal (Crossroads), I'm working on some elevated highway's. Quite a lot of work.

I hope I show some progress, although my computer won't work anymore. It has all the save-games on it, pictures etc.

Well, that probably was off from me as well, but nah, I'm not going to be selfish and call that idea mine, anyone could've thought of it, and people probably have without reading my journal, I just happened to execute and display it first.

@ Jaybyrd05 - I'll probably put up a tutorial over at CitiesXS once I have time. I'll provide tutorials on the types of intersections and some further tips on making it realistic.

Asheroo, i'll present a very simple example... Personally i haven't created any CJ yet... I haven't even played CXL (waiting for my new pc). But I have already thought the style of my city. Some thoughts i've made, have been presented by Stef42 in his Ribbon city 2.0... This fact doesn't mean that i cheated on Stef42's projects or I copied any of his ideas, but simply we had some common thoughts on some particular constructive projects.

I know, that's what I was saying before, it would be selfish if I called the idea mine. I'm just joking around, no worries. 2.gif

    It's time to end

6 months I've started with this CJ, on October 26th. Great interest from others kept me going while I learned a lot in city building. This was all awarded with the Trixie. I wish to thank everyone, yet again, for their support!

I've not been working lately on the city, it's a bit 'dead'. So, I've decided to move on, create a new second city (while I still have Crossroads) and make my way back to the top!

So, thanks everyone for the great support on Ribbon City 44.gif
