Personally don't think this needs to be slope friendly..I think it works best for row houses where the heights vary...just my opinion.

This "Deep Exploration" sounds interesting! Can you tell me more , like: which version do you use, is it free, and how do you import gmax files into max (we all have old gmax files we would like to convert into max...:D) ;)

BTW: your Worthington Apts is absolutly amazing! :thumb:

Looks really good, the only thing that sticks out as needing an update is the cornice. It really doesn't fit in with the details used on the rest of the facade. Try looking around at some similar buildings in reality and see what they have in that area and you should find your solution.

    nick13- Thank you!!!!!

    BIWDC- Thank you!!!!

    zahrul3- Thank you!!!!!

Amthaak- Thank You, the Deep Exploration is not free and the version I am using is 3.5. it is a trail a 30 days trail, so you have to be fast, one thing is make sure everything is fix in GMAx before you export it and import it in to max, it can be hard to fix things up when you get it in the Max. Another thing to know it's a good idea to attach all a like textures because if you did not label all of your, if not you may have a hard with finding your pieces, because if you are going by color like all your glass is blue and walls are brown and window frames are black, in max it will be all random colors on all pieces, and when you finished attaching you pieces name thing if you did not. GMAx will have a error popup and crash when you try to attach a large amount of pieces to together, so it best to get a good amount of obejects and right click to editable poly, you will have to do this a lot if you have thousands of objects. Always have a back up copy of of the orignal GMax coppy in case you mess up. There still more but I have to think. :)

    jacqulina- Thank you!!!!

SimHoTToDDy- Thank you, it's going to be hard to fix the cornice.

Jasoncw- Thanks I do nrrd to post a before and after shots of the building that was in Gmax and now goin to go in 3ds Max.

Talks about the Worthington Apartments cornice

I will need a lot of help on this building so everyone be kind to post some images of some cornices, I need some help on what it should look like.

You could put a planter with bushes like ones on the upper floors, if I was you, that's something I'll do.

They look 3 times better next to each other, so it hides the plain side of the BAT. A creative guy could plop(landmark version) a block with this and create what looks like a condominum development.

Aaron I have to be the party pooper now.

1st why are the both of them floating in the air? They look like they're both a meter in the air.

2nd why haven't u used 1.66 depth from the street? That way they would line up nicely with the other w2w BATs. And that overhanger in fron of entrances could have been edited in Ilives reader and would go all the way to the road.

If it's too late for these two than consider doing so with others, for example Graham Apartments.

zahrul3- Thank you, I should try that out, but I will still need some trees to go in front of the buildings like it New York City. :D

    skyscraper241- I'm using 3ds Max Design 11. :D

Vlasky- 1.66 is way to close to the road, and the thing about it the buildings I make a rare to STEX, that's the reason, I'm trying to conquer the New York City apartment branch. :D The reason the building is floalting is because it's not on a flat surface. Most of all my buildings are 3.0 and 4.0m, The NYBT timpson Pl Row are 1.5m from the road from the road/ from the edge of the lot.

Yeah, I agree with Vlasky, it would be much nicer if they lined up with other w2w buildings. The only w2w buildings that don't use the one paver (1.6 m) setback off the top of my head are spa and jbsimio and their buildings are usually much shorter anyway. So basically all the buildings that yours would go with use the 1.6 meter setback.

    All of mine are. :)

1.6 meters is just one paver tile though, so it's not too hard to line up.

For your canopies, you can change the "size" of the building in the reader, and that will let you overhang the canopy without making the building a prop. I don't remember the property off the top of my head and I don't have access to my simcity programs, but I think it's occupant size, and it's what controls the size of the construction cranes, but also the size of the foot print in the lot editor. It doesn't change the actual size of the building or LODs though.

Thanks for going with the 1.6 meter setback. I'll appreciate it and I'm sure a lot of other people will too. :)

Ok, I'm so stupid right now, I should of known that one of those little squares on the base texture is 1.6.

    Edit

I may need to export it again because the canopy will over hang to much. :( It's must work well with the NAM three lane one way roads.
