1150. Globexco: Well, AD means year of the lord, but that doesn't mean that it was his birth year, it could be the year he died. Also, it doesn't tell us if the lord meant here was Jesus, or the ruling Roman Emperor (Augustus or Tiberius). In Dutch, it is called 'After Christ', but that yields the same problem: is it after Christ's birth, or his death? So there really is no definitive saying how many years ago Jesus was born, or died, though scholars say that he was born in-between 4 and 6 AD.
